There was also a horrible holding call on Freddie on the 3 and 10 play that Dak scrambled for a first down. We ended up not converting 3rd and 20.

Freddie pushed his guy to the ground and got a bogus holding call.

It was not a good call. The one thing you don't want to do is put your cruddy defense in a situation where their back is already up against the wall.

You kick it deep there and make the Skins drive the length of the field. They are more likely to make a mistake and help out the defense on a long field as opposed to a short field.
Like I said...if it worked, it's a good call. I think most people's complaint about Garrett is he is too conservative; taking a risk to steal a possession is pretty aggressive for Garrett and I'd like to see more of that.

The skins could have won by 2+ TDs. That endzone pick was comical--thank goodness. And missing the two wide open WRs for TDs was sweet for Dallas.

A win is a win though. There are always what-ifs either way.

It's a great call, assuming you see something on tape that makes you think it has a better-than-usual chance of succeeding (I don't know if they did, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt). The kick was terrible, so we'll never know for sure.

You need to be willing to be aggressive and take chances, which Garrett has traditionally not, so it's very encouraging to see things like this, and going for it on 4th-and-1 from the 'Skins 30 in the 1st quarter.

I'll never understand why on 1st and goal from the 3 we line up in shotgun and throw. Run the ball 3 times in a row and you will get a touchdown. It's almost a guarantee. Drives me crazy every time we do that.

Difference is Both 1st down throws to Dez are TD's when 9 is at the helm. Dak needs to work on that back shoulder throw to Dez in the endzone. Weird thing is he hit it several times in the PS.
BS

Romo has missed that as well. Dez wasn't open.

Ignored

Dumb grab by Dez on that run.

The blown assignments can be fixed. This pass rush won't be improved until Lawrence gets back. We need to get creative. The offense formations yesterday were pretty good. Dez attacking the inside is a beautiful thing.

I actually liked the onside kick call. It actually showed some guts. It's not Garrett's fault if was botched. Now don't get me wrong, I want Garrett fired probably as much as the next guy, but the onside kick didn't add to that. lol

That God awful "sack" call on Dax. We ended up getting the first down but that was ridiculous

We were fortunate to have won but I'll take it.

With the failed onside kick, Zeke fumble in our end of the field and INT in the end zone, the Commanders were on the verge of blowing the game wide open and only got 6 points out of those 3 possessions. Equal credit goes to our defense and to the Commanders inept play calling and Cousins' out right sucking. He also had 2-3 deep wide open targets in the first half that he missed for TD's.

A better offense would've beaten us handily, but I'll take a win in this league, especially over Washington any day any way.

Smith short set and missed. Happens.

Swaim was having issues with his footing like many others were.

What did Wilcox do wrong? He continues to tackle well when needed.

If you mean he is still an unguided missile and thank god he had a team mate near by to help out, sure he was great.
