I've often wondered myself why Dallas does not use the silent count more. With our "larger" OL, they struggle against faster/shiftier DLinemen. So why not use the silent count as a way to get a quicker jump off the ball and take away that advantage? Logic says that it should also help Flozell Adams who struglles with a hearing problem. One can argue against this by saying that using a silent count can correct some problems but create others, but then isn't practice there to get better at that and guard against that happening?
