They're pretty beat up........usually that's good news but for some reason, it scares me. We sometimes have the tendency to play-down to what should be lesser talented teams.

ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Commanders' injury situation got a little worse Friday. Starting linebacker Mason Foster will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder, effectively ending his season.

Commanders coach Jay Gruden said Foster would be placed on injured reserve at some point Friday. Gruden also said starting center Spencer Long won't play vs. the Dallas Cowboys Sunday because of issues with his quads. Long had been dealing with the injury for a couple of weeks and was forced to miss five snaps in Monday's loss at Philadelphia. He returned because of injuries to others. Rookie Chase Roullier will start in his place Sunday

Josh Norman - DB - Commanders
NFL Network's Jane Slater reports Josh Norman (ribs) is expected to be "good to go" Week 8 against the Cowboys.

Norman missed two games and had a bye week mixed in as he dealt with a broken rib and lung issue. He's been practicing the past two weeks and looks likely to be back to face Dez Bryant on Sunday afternoon. It'll be a big boost to the Skins' secondary, but not enough to avoid Bryant or Dak Prescott.

Brandon Scherff - G - Commanders
Commanders RG Brandon Scherff (MCL) has yet to be ruled out for Week 8.

Scherff has a Grade 2 sprain. Despite coach Jay Gruden's optimism, he seems likely to miss at least one game.

Brandon Scherff - G - Commanders
Commanders RG Brandon Scherff suffered an MCL injury Monday night against the Eagles.

Scherff had his knee rolled into in the third quarter. The injury looked bad, but an MRI on Tuesday should tell the story. LT Trent Williams was in and out of the game all night while RT Morgan Moses sprained both of his ankles. Washington may need to find some offensive line help this week.

All you deadskins players take your time healing and rehabbing. There is no rush since you won't be contending, anyway.

they beat us with Colt McCoy a couple of years ago. I never take the 'Skins for granted.

True. Read my mind...they ALWAYS rise up against us. Boogers that they are. I do think we can overwhelm them on O though: we should score 30. Will they score more than 20? They shouldn't but who knows. Gotta play the game.

90% chance of heavy rain in DC on Sunday.

Wow, I had it in my head we were home this week. (didn't check the schedule obviously) This is not good. Heavy rain favors the weaker team, and right now they are weaker due to injuries IMO. Then again, Fed Ex field is one of the worst in the league. Pretty sure Dak throws a good wet ball but some of you can verify that. Cousins does NOT throw a good wet ball btw, and didn't in college either. So if we can stop their run game (which is marginal) we could be in good shape. Barring any bizarre turnovers we should win by 7-10 pts. but like I said: gotta play the game.

Fed Ex field is ranked 26th on this list:

LoL,,, so,,, in the immortal terminology of John Madden this could be a
' mudder' ball carriers dream chance to shine?
I can already picture #46 leaving roostertails of turf in his wake on a couple 40 to 60 yarders, should they somehow stack up and contain #21 at the LOS and #46 on 3rd down dough pops themo_O

Though, I'd rather see #21 doing all the dough popping to them mo-foes on the ground;)

Oh hell yes. Zeke is the ULTIMATE mudder bro. That low center of gravity, thick lower torso, great balance, heavy duty, bulldozing MOFO!!!!!! I'm ready...let's kick this thing off!!!!!!!!

Hope that continues.

He won't IF we have decent field conditions. Remember, when the field is a bog like it could be, that favors the Oline and the O in general. IF this was in Dallas, I'd like us to win by 20ish.

We should really but a hurt on cousins.

Yeah, no doubt about it. IF they had any running game, it would be one thing but KC will be pretty vulnerable today. Hope he doesn't get hurt. (I'm an MSU alum and have met him...real nice kid) Granted, he isn't worth what the skins have paid him, but that isn't his fault. He'll leave after this year. WOTS is he can't stand Snyder and other members of that front office. Buncha tools.
