Skins lose, we're in First!

Who would have thought if at this time last year you could say the Cowboys, Bengals and Bucs are in first place come next year? Anyone? Thats what I thought and thats how this league is now.

This game is no reason to celebrate.

Are you kidding? We won the game. Even with us continually shooting ourselves in the foot, a team that was 3-1 could not beat us. We overcame our mistakes. Good teams somehow find ways to do that.

I think this game, every bit as much as last week's game, is a signal of things to come. I'd bet a ton of money that just about every team we've fielded since our last SB run would've laid down and quit.

No matter how you slice it. Now amount of what-ifs or could-have-beens subtracts the "W" for us.

I'll take a sloppy win over a heroic loss any day.

Congrats...Damn we cannot force a turnover on D. We shut down the run and basically the pass. 2 turnovers in 5 games will not get it done. Therefore we have the 3-2 record.

I hate to say it but the foreskins offense has been playing better and better each week. Their defense is still playing outstanding. Our enemies are getting better and they'll be plenty tougher next time, even though they still only have two weapons on offense and one of them (Portis) is overrated.
Brunell has been pretty good last few weeks and their OL is giving him some time. He can still throw an accurate ball and with their defense, he doesn't have to hit that many....(as we well know). Will be a dogfight next time we play them and we better bring our "A" game.

The Skins are tough to judge. They could easily be winless right now. But they could also be undefeated. The Skins beat Chicago by two, but the Bears were in FG range twice in the 4th Qtr and self destructed. We all saw what happened in Dallas... how often is that going to happen? (About once every 78 games - LOL!) Against Seattle, the Seahawks missed a FG as time ran out before the Skins won in overtime. On the other hand, the Skins were a 2pt conversion from going into overtime last week. They played sloppy today (like Dallas) or the might have won.

Yes, we are learning to fight to the last second every game. Only blowout was in our favor. Winning this one the way we did may proove to be better than if we blew them out.

My reasoning is, if we blow them out, maybe the confident level is too high, almost to the cocky side. Even though we believe BP won't let that happen. But you never know. Then we get smacked in the chops from it. So a close win after a big blowout against the Eagles could be good. Win a few more now decisively, then that 'swagger ' will start to show, but not a cocky swagger. This shows this team they are not there yet and work needs to be done.

Great win, use this as another building block. Congratulations for hanging in there and not giving up, and getting down when bad things happens.

If not for the turnovers early, and we score, then this coud have been a different game. We not only had the turnovers but also bad field position and the Giants had good field positions just about all game, but we still won. I think that says something aboout our improvement on both sides of the ball.
