Skins may be looking to make QB change against Cowboys

People said the same things about Romo. Your best bet is just not making such bold predictions.

Actually, Parcells dropped several hints this season he was "getting Romo ready to play" sometime this season, even saying so much.

Gibbs has vehemently proclaimed that Brunell is the man, and that he's sticking with him. I think Gibbs is more than capable of lying, but in this case, I don't think he is.

Bottom line, they just don't think Campbell is ready. Saunders doesn't trust him to run his offense... in fact if someone is going to replace Brunell, it's going to be Collins. But its not even going to be him, because they are sticking with Brunell.

I will even "boldly predict" that not only will Campbell not start against us, he will continue to be the #3 QB, all but guaranteeing that he won't enter the game against us even if Brunell sucks it up.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Jason Campbell is taking all the first-team reps in practice during Washington's Week 8 bye.

Mark Brunell currently has hurt ribs, but Schefter says the Commanders are using his injury and the bye-week practices to get Campbell ready, possibly to be the team's starting quarterback in Week 9.

By the way, it doesn't say this in this "report" but do you know what Washington's bye week "practices" have consisted of?

They had TWO whopping days of work where they practiced for 75 minutes.

They took Monday off and let the players have a four-day weekend starting today.

So it's not like they were burning the midnight oil at Redsk*n Park to get Cambell up to speed.

I'm not sure how many "first team reps" Campbell took... but with only 150 mintues of practice the whole week, it couldn't have been many. Basically all the injured players -- Moss, Portis, Brunell -- took the entire week off.

This is another example of the mediots making a mountain out of a molehill.

I am surprised with as much turmoil as they're in that the Skins didn't practice harder in their bye week.

They are certainly trying to get Campbell ready, just as BP did for Romo during preseason for us, but he won't start against us. No way no how. It will be Brunell, bank on it.

I never believed Washington was going to be good, they never scared me. I bought into the Dallas buzz however, egg on my face with Bledsoe and the defense. I was confident in them both during preseason.
