Skins: "We need a backup QB". Ok let's get one.

Boys: "We don't have a kicker that can kick a 30 yd FG". Ok, let's wait.

Having seen Jason Campbell play in the 2005 Sugarbowl against my Hokies, he is going to be something special. He showed me some serious poise that game against a D which had stopped Caddaliac and Ronnie Brown and was absolutley ferocious.

Even more special than Heath Shuler? :D

That was a nice acquisition -- especially taking into consderation Brunell's health (knees).

And I believe there would be a comfort level there between Collins and Al Saunders...

Don't get me wrong... i'm not saying the guy is a bust...
but how can you garantee he's going to be something special?

Ya'll were saying the same thing about Patrick Ramsey not 2 years ago. lol

Another late first round draft pick by the Skins who was supposedly headed for greatness... LOL...

Jason Campbell is already #2 on the depth chart. Do any of you know anything about Todd Collins? Bottom line, in the last 5 seasons he's barely had more game time experience than Campbell.

His contract is extremely cheap, and he's only been signed to help Brunell and Campbell get accustomed to Saunders' system. Which Collins knows like the back of his hand.

But wait... if Collins has virtually no game experience... and he obviously got no reps in practice, then how will he have a real-world knowledge of the system?

My guess is he QB'ed the scout team...

I would say that's a safe bet.

As safe as cap hell in 2006 for Washington, right? :laugh2:

Gibbs said in his postseason press conference Campbell could have played last year if he had to

But since all of you guys have been at Commanders practices this past season, I suppose you know more about his development

Yes, yes we do.

Collings was tested about 9 eons ago to see if he could start and he kinda flunked......

I've noticed an odd trend with older QB's recently though......If he HAD to start if MB went down I'd say he could be a top notch #2......he knows the offense and with those weapons how could he be worse than Campbell?......I'd say if the 4th stringer in STL can do it an exp. dude can score at least 17pts......which is all we need against most non-playoff games.......
