Campbell met with Coach Mike Shanahan today, according to a source. Team will discuss Campbell's future Tues.

What future? It isn't in Washington.

I have said it a million times that this kid stinks. He really isn't that bad. There may never be any championships on his resume, but he's always playing in a different system.

If I was the Bills I would trade for him ASAP. I could see him having success with Chan Gailey.

Yeah. I can see that being a really short conversation.

This kid got totally "Ramseyed" by the Commanders.

"Poor little bugger..."

I love it that Shannahan is going with McNabb as the starter in Washington. And to think people wanted him to become Dallas' coach with these types of bone-headed moves. Now he's likely to trade away Campbell for much less than he gave up to get McNabb. The only thing is, Campbell could have been for the Commanders the same thing that McNabb will ever be, and that's a placeholder until the next franchise QB they draft gets groomed.

contradiction much? :laugh2:

I hope TO doesn't sign there again for his sake. Chances are Gailey won't like him and therefore will never use him.

I think TO and McNabb are up for a reunion in Washington believe it or not.

I only hope that TO is the next player to sign with Washington. I just love these black-on-black popcorn moments. ;)

Not that I'm inclined to sympathize with a Skins QB, but this guy has suffered a ****load of indignities.

I don't think Campbell is going anywhere just yet. Unless he wants to force his way out, I feel he will remain with the Commanders.

I haven't heard the latest rumors. That would be funny. What's TO at now, about 70%? He's still solid though as good as he was.

Not sure why they would have signed Grossman if the idea was to keep Campbell. I would think they would want a development project in the 3rd QB spot and I think that ship has sailed with him (and Rex for that matter).

I disagree.

He has no desire to beat the dead horse in Washington any longer.

If he gets traded somewhere else, he may have a chance at reviving his career.

If he stays in Washington, he'll end up just like Patrick Ramsey.

T.O. and McNabb reunion? hahaha make it happen!

I feel bad for Campbell. He seems like a good guy who never really got settled on a system.

Was going to reply before I opened the thread, "If I was Buffalo I'd see what the price is asap"

Great minds.

Ramsey was given a shot and just didn't have it.
There is no way he is reviving his career in Oakland or St. Louis.

With Campbell and McNabb on the roster along with Grossman the Commanders would be the deepest team in the NFL at the position. There is safety in numbers.

Campbell sucks. Thats the reason he's been in soo many systems. He gets his coaches fired because he is supposed to be soo good and have such a great arm yet can't produce. He will never lead any team to any real success. I have no idea what the skins are doing. Too bad its not 2005 or 2006 because they'd be fielding a probowl offense. In 2010 they're just a bunch of has beens and they're still giving up premium picks when they should be rebuilding. Thats a recipe for continued mediocrity.

What "shot" was he given?

The part-time golfer/part-time ball coach?

Yeah, and I'm sure Campbell is all for sliding over on the bench and watching the prime of his career pass him by to be a member of the NFL's deepest quarterback group - and never play again.

The other huge contradiction this week was jerra giving a great testimonial to Flo in announcing that he is cutting him from the team.

They're going to pay $3.1M for Campbell to hold a clipboard this season?

Shanny would be much smarter to find a project QB in the mid rounds and slide him into that spot. The team is not SB bound anyway, why pay ridiculous amounts of money for a 3rd string QB?
