I think Barber should remain the backup. He's exceptional in his role.

hey guys, im a skinz fans and i hate your team but i really need to ask a serious question.

why does julius jones exist on your team? Barber is ten times the back when it comes to finding the end zone, and after watching barber this year he looks like the more explosive back regardless of field position.

am i the only one who sees this?

so yes, im dissing jones and giving barber maaad props

sense they cant talk bout there team they got a pick with us

No offense dude but there's been about elleventybillion Barber vs Jones threads this offseason as well as another 3-5 every gameday. it's an old and tired topic that people are getting sick of seeing

BTW, the RB rotation has been debated ad nauseum. As mentioned, you'll find several threads on the subject.

I will answer your question. Barber reminds me of Portis when he was with the Broncos, while Julius Jones currently reminds me of Portis as a Commander.

well to answer your question, the Boys run a 2 back system, its not like Barber isnt going to get his touches, as you saw in the 4th quarter, Barber was fresh, and was able to steamroll their D.

as for Julius, he isnt living up to the high expectations we had for him, but is servicable at best. at the end of the day they will each have about the same touches.

my personal take is that barber has an unbelivable knack of getting into the endzone, inside the redzone. which makes him a special back in his own right.

No you're not the only one that sees it. I'm in that camp with a group that would like to see MB3 start over JJ. However, I am ok with the way things are working right now because MB3 is still getting at least half of the carries and getting off with that 15 or so touches out of the backfield. On top of that he is a great option in the flats as well. I figure this subtle change will only continue and eventually you'll see a 60/40 or even possibly a 70/30 split in favor of MB3.
