Skip: Kellen Moore is not head coach material

Man, either you guys really hate Skip OR you really love Kellen Moore and don’t to address the points he brought up.

I don't really want Moore but seems they might do worse. I'd probably rather have Moore than Schottenheimer.

Scoff at Skip if you want, but he makes really good points.

- His contention is that Kellen doesn't have the persona, the charisma to lead a franchise or match Jerry's personality.
- It's folly to think that a good coordinator equals a good head coach. Two materially different jobs.
- He credits Kellen for his play at Boise State...and that he's a pretty good coordinator.
- He notes that he's 36 years old. (Jerry trying to channel a McVeigh hire?)
- Kellen won't fight Jerry's orders and he'll be a puppet

I personally think Kellen is regarded as a boy wonder...he went 50-1 in college with average QB skills...so he's pretty football smart. But can he lead men and establish a strong frame over a locker full of alphas?

Makes me wonder why anyone listens to this guy

The last point is all that matters. The only consideration that makes Kellen Moore a question mark is the Witten issue. Moore is only 36. How does that play in with the rumor Jerry wants to groom Witten? It seems like a 36 yr old coach, if successful is going to be around a long time, too long to groom another young coach.

I’m having a tough time understanding the “grooming” thing. What exactly is Jason Witten going to learn here that he hasn’t already seen?

Isn’t he better off learning from other minds elsewhere in the meantime? What if the current HC has a great three years? You’re just gonna fire him for Witten? If the next few years are awful, what exactly did Witten learn?

The fact that Jerry has no idea whatsoever how much of a problem this will be is just insane…but, I’m hoping for rock bottom and eventual change. Well on the way.

Kellen Moore, assuming this is real, is coveted around the League...the League is more tuned into Jerry World and making money.

Kellen handles the media perfectly, has the modern offenses...the World just doesnt want him to succeed...out of hate, to make more money off controversy.

The story has caved on itself....way more unreasonable hate for certain people than there should be out of the excuse "its about extraction"
