Skip is right, you can even see in the fans, the bar for the Cowboys is very low and Jerry wil compensate by diluting the NFL to take the attention away from Dallas.

I don't ever see Jerry wanting to take the attention away from the Cowboys. Jerry is the mouth piece for all owners. I suspect they all want the playoffs expanded, because it will increase revenue, which they all benefit from. They have Jerry talk because he doesn't care what media types like ESPN and folks have to say. Never has, never will. While they get to sit in the shadows and remain quiet.

I don't agree it is a petty shot at Jerry by petty people. The so called bar is what each person sets in their own fricken mind. Dallas and Jerry goal is to make post season and to win a championship. As for Jerry and other owners who want to increase post season again its because of the revenue it generates. Skip is and has been nothing but a Cowboy leech and I respect little he has to say.

So 8-8 was not their goal but when chances come by to fix the team, they ignore that, than we all agree the owners want the playoffs for the revenue, all accomplished by dropping the bar on standards than finish it all up with, "well Jerry Jones wants to win" Yes, by ignoring a good safety in two drafts, choosing to keep bad line backers, concentrating on fixing the O line, (which wasnt hte big issue of the year) and everyone saying "romo is the choker" (obviousl he plays on D too) and than keeping one of the components that helps achieve that 8-8 dream. I dont know how many times you need to miss the football before you know the little girl will pull it, but if youe happy falling for the same rhetoric year in and year out, you are welcome to it. Myself, i see a problem, i fix the problem.

8-8 bare minimum as long as Romo is healthy.

As others have said we lost so many close games last year with the worst Defense in the NFL and still almost made playoffs.

i agree with this, but believe me when i tell you, if the cowboys were a constant 10 win team, he and a few others would be against it and than tell the league, "raise your standards" So i feel in a good way he wants and needs to lower the standards of the league that way if Dallas does get in, he has the benefit of saying "see Dallas can make the playoffs' and everyone would be force to agree because no one is going to admit "we have to lower the standards for other teams to get in"

You are right. We are Charlie Brown and Jerry is Lucy. Every year is the same thing.

The Cowboys could finish anywhere from first to last. I don't know. It depends how tough the division is but I don't think they will be any better than 8-8.

Firstly, Thank you, Secondly. other teams should not be dipicting your record. (technically tis goign to happen, but a teams view should be "win every game"

I think we are seeing too many things going on in the NFL right now to say that any of the owners would be against it. More NFL equals more rating, equals more money. They talk of expanding the NFL draft to 4 days, changing cities, expanding the playoffs. All the owners see $ signs first. They expanded the playoffs a few years back and not many folks would say now the league is watered down. Don't think if they add 1 team to each conf. that it would be said now.

We will see.

Oh please give me a break what last year it was how he has ignored the OL, Dallas has drafted safety only problem are fans who are unwilling to let the players grow. If they don't come out day 1 playing great you guys are wanting the player cut and move on to the next. Yeah great fricken plan. lol Yes Dallas drafted an OL player in rd 1, I don't believe it was their first option I think Donald was the guy they had their eyes set on along with Barr when both went Dallas took a player who was also ranked high and gives the OL much like what was seen in SF and Seattle to create a major strenght. Using a 1 on martin was a good move on the part of the Cowboys since the draft is not about next year it is about many years.

I agree. Football is their investment they are the ones putting money into the game, we are talking teams whose values are around a billion. While again I do not favor adding teams to post season I don't think Jerry wanting this has as much to do with the Cowboys as it does with the league revenues in general.

Skip says the cowboys are about a 6 win team. and Stephen says they will finish in last place. and the sad part is that i can't say they are wrong. in fact i think they are right on the money.it's going to be a long year for the cowboys.6 and 10 may be being nice. time to blow up this team. the window has closed.

Who listens to these two idiots?

To me this all depends entirely on Tony Romo's back. If he comes back and he's healthy and able to play at his usual high level this team will compete for a playoff spot.

If he's not able to do those things then this team won't win more than 4-6 games and it will be an extremely ugly year all year long.

You don't buy that Mincey and McClain are upgrades over the DL pick-ups of last year, many of which will not even see the field this year?

I don't believe they're our saviors. Certainly not enough done to make me believe we're destined to climb out of the 32nd rank spot on defense.

Why are they hacks? because they don't agree with the BS Jerry sell's to the fans and local media every year?everyone who think that this team is not good is not a hack.

They're hacks because of their journalistic ability. They're to lazy to focus on anything but the mainstream topics that my dog could talk about better.
