4. Jerry felt good about the negotiation but once Micah got his agent involved. The agent allegedly said they would not be discussing a contract until all the other edge rushers deals were complete. Another tells me that’s inaccurate his agent has been trying to talk since last year.

Hmmmmmm.....

If true then I could see why Jerry seems to not want to deal with the agent.
 
So this is basically a he said she said situation. The fact that we are here shows how dysfunctional this organization is. I’m not even mad about either trading Micah or overpaying him. I’m sick of how the team is ran and the constant drama. This is just one more huge example of how toxic and dysfunctional the Jones are. Moving forward that’s the depressing part. No matter what happens with this it just shows the unprofessionalism and incompetence of the FO.

That is not why he is there, he would be fined $50k a day and risks the potential of them shutting him down for the season and him not being able to accrue a year.

Dallas has most of the leverage as the last year of his deal and 2 franchise tags are a heck of a lot cheaper than the $40 plus million he is looking for, but it is embarrassing how the Cowboys handle the contracts of their star players.

Pay him??? Jerry and Stephen already have offered to PAY MICAH Top 3 overall pay. Problem is Micah and his agent have suddenly become super greedy and now want an NFL position record setting new contract extension.

Jerry should not cave in and handicap the rest of the team just for 1 player. Nope. Top 3 pay is more than fair, especially for a player who in recent years has disappeared after Thanksgiving and during the playoffs. This is based on your performances, Micah! YOU created your own worth based on your performances during key games/moments.

When Jane said she could do an hour long podcast on this my first thought was I would definitely watch it. Not because she’s hot but because I’d really like to hear a more in depth discussion about this. I want more details than what was said in the 3 minutes she talked. Someone is lying, well someone is lying more than the other person. But what I want to know is if it’s true that Micah’s teammates went to coaches and complained about his behavior and podcast.

What sticks out to me is when Micah did a podcast and stated his top 10 QBs and left Dak out. I don’t want to turn this into a Dak thread but that was seriously not cool. But that’s one instance I can see his podcast creating friction with teammates. That lends credibility to that claim he may rub his teammates the wrong way.

Agent?.. apparently Jerry hasn't even talked to his agent.

and when did Jerry and Air quotes offer him top 3 overall pay? When he asked to get a new contract done twice? Or when they tried to circumvent usual procedure and bully him into a deal without his agent being present?

I see what you are saying but IF the Eagles are willing to pay a heavy price, why not? Many fans are saying he's overrated and disappears. So, how can he hurt us? Besides, if we are that afraid to face him, maybe we should keep him.
