Remember Jerry saying 500 headcoaches could coach the Cowboys.......not turning out well since that comment in 1994
Problem is. Switzer won and validated him.

I almost wish we never won in 95. Jerry would have had to admit failure at some point and hire a GM.

Between that Super Bowl and the HOF. We’re toast until he is.

The guy is almost in his mid 80s. He is more likely to need his diaper changed than to make a smart decision on anything. He can't take care of himself anymore but he gets to run the Dallas Cowboys. I defended this guy for a long time after the 90s ended. It has been 25 years and it is getting worse very year. He has undone any good that he ever did. Jimmy was considered the man back then and it made him feel small. As time has past Jimmy is now god tier and Jerry is human garbage. The exact opposite of what he hoped to accomplish.

Very similar vibes IMHO to Tom Brady and BB. BB was feeling small and insecure and wanted to do it without Brady. Brady moves on and wins a super bowl in Tampa freaking Bay as a 40 something year old. Meanwhile the Patriots fall completely apart without him.

btw, I am leaning Jon Gruden(after sleeping on it) for 1 reason, and this is how Jerry thinks....he runs the same scheme as MM ie the west coast offense. The offense won't change much if at all. Jerry hates change and this makes too much sense. Gruden will appease fans and Jerry can sell the whole "chuckie" thing bigtime.

Watching Troy Aikmans, the football life showed EVERYONE it was Aikman and the veterans that pulled that team to the 95 championship, not Switzer.

She's 100% right............

and that's why cowboys suck. any good coach would never agree to an incentive based contract. only fringe middling coaches or those trying to break into being an NFL head coach would agree.
they all leave dallas and find success. if you can find any level of success in Dallas working under Jones, then you can work anywhere.

Jerry is an idiot.

Why would any HC take an incentives based contract unless he had full control? Imagine basing your compensation on won-loos record then Jerry sits on his hands in the offseason allowing talent to leave without replacing it. Who would want that deal?

I think Jerry is losing his marbles and this is just more evidence of it.

It would be cool if HC's just boycotted the Dallas the job.
Coaches and players should its crazy they dont....Micah has a chance to change his narrative...will he Prescott or will he leave and go win something....Dont tell me your about winning and stay here and take Jerry's money when YOU KNOW there is no winning here..

lol jerry is such a bozo i hope cowboys never win another game as long as he is around and i am not scare to say it

jerry diserve the worst when it come to football stuff
And people still really believe he really wants to win lmao. He isn't serious about really winning. He is only serious about being a dictator and doing it his way. Even though for almost 30 years, that has produced nothing. He knows his way is trash and will never win. He knows he is bottom of the barrel in terms of GM and a true vision. But he's an old rich man who doesn't care and gives the middle finger to all the fans.

I know it will never happen enough to matter but stop supporting this bozo and his family. Root for them to lose. This season was finally enough for me to do just that. I no longer want any Cowboys gear for gifts. I don't watch the games at all. Rooting for the Cowboys was a toxic relationship. Stepping away was a breath of fresh air. I don't care to be invested into a product where the owner/GM is on record of not caring about winning. Why should fans keep caring? Another big eye opener was how he treated The Fan hosts. He also purposely sat Cooper so the bonus wouldn't have to be paid. And he claims he didn't know the contract yet he's the GM? Lmao. He's a pathetic human being and deserves nothing but the worst. I hope his last years are watching Dallas constantly lose. And I think we are getting there. 2021-2023 window is slammed shut. And even that window wasn't too great because Dallas was never on the level of the real contenders. The years they actually were was only a few, 2007, 2014, 2016. And all 3 of those years produced one single playoff win. 2021-2023 produced one single playoff win.

that was the only time Jerry was motivated to win a championship and money didn't matter. he wanted to prove he can win without Johnson, so it became an ego driven couple of years.

then he thought I can do this and we ended up with campo years. he realized oh, maybe I really don't. brought in parcells, thought he learned and took over and had learned how to build teams that are on the verge of relevancy, enough to make him money and money was and has been his singular focus

Stupidly Mike will sign again with us
Well, it's looking like there won't be as many vacancies ........so returning could be his best option.

**Johnson interviewing with the Pats and Bears, so he's taking one of those jobs.
**Some believe Vrabel is Pat's top target but maybe not if they are also interviewing Johnson.
