why are the 40 times so slow this year?

last year mike jenkins and orlando scandrick both ran faster then the best DB time at this years which was a 4.41

Looks like a draft where you can get backup but not really dominant CB.

DBs were slow, but WRs were blazing.

Deion Sanders was speculating it was (at least partially) because of the differences in the warmup routines of the two groups. The WRs were running routes, and were much looser prior to running their 40s.

The DBs were huddled in the end zone, and some, but not all, were stretching. None of them were running any sprints.

Of course Deion also thought the DBs would get better times on their second run, and most didn't.
