Slow Starts and Coaching

We seem to start slow almost every game.

Is it more likely that the coaches are making great adjustments?

Or is it more likely that the coaches are not getting this team prepared for game day?

Or does it have nothing to do with coaching?

Terrell put it perfectly last season (parphrasing) "we are like a movie...slow in begging but near the end we kick it up a really get it going"

This is kinda how the offense looked last year. It was like they were figuring out opposing defenses as they played. They would get it together right as the game would be going to the half and they crack it open when they came out of the locker room.

we try to get T.O. involved early and that is the reason why we start slow.

It was obvious when the momentum changed in this game. It was the bomb to TO. The special teams and defense got fired up and played lights out after that.

I guess this team needs to have guys make plays to provide the emotional lift. It has to happen on the field rather than from the sideline.

that is not a good sign at all IMO. This team needs to explode early and often or it hasn't a chance in the last four games.

Take every single advantage or go home. Polk and T.O. made them emotional. then they went to sleep in the 2nd half to make it interesting instead of putting a foot on the throat.

Tony Romo has always started slow for some reason. Even under Parcells.

I think things will get going in another week or so. Win the Seahawks game and get/stay healthy.

This is true, but it was mainly our offense that started slow. Now it's the defense too.

What about on defense? I think we've giving up points on the first drive more times than not this year.

Isn't that a terrible problem? Shouldn't this team be mentally prepared to play the first down?

Yeah, that's true. Brett Farve used to have trouble with his accuracy in the first quarter too. I guess Tony wants to really be like Favre, but hey, that's a great model to choose.

But this still doesn't explain our defensive problems.

Did this need asking?

Ofcourse the coaching sucks.

It's the same coaches from last year. Last year they were adjustment geniuses, remember?
