How the boys can start scoring early and it seems that we are better when we play ahead .

Even in the last game where 44 points were scored , we started scoring only at the end of 1st quarter. The 2nd qtr was unusual and flooded with Tds.

What can be done to improve this ,

win the field position battle (don't laugh)
be stubborn running the ball unless you're down 14+
be aggressive on 4th downs in opponent's territory (don't settle for FGs)

What we need to focus on now is keeping momentum. We seem to have “fixed” this slow start problem (Bears, Bills, even the Rams game IMO (we scored in the 1st Q still). The thing is, we lost that momentum in the Bills and Bears game. After the 1st Q, we couldn’t do anything until garbage time. Rams game, it appears everything was fixed. How they did it, I’m not sure, but they need to do it again.

They drove 90 yards for a TD on the second drive in the Rams game.
They drove 75 yards for a TD on the first drive in the Bears game.
They drove 75 yards for a TD on the first drive in the Bills game.
In all three cases, the other team came back to tie the game after that.

So, to sum up: the Cowboys are scoring early, they don't have slow starts, and they don't play better when they get ahead.
