"We need to throw it short and hope for a break." That's paraphrased, but between Garrett's comments to open the second half and apparently playing for a FG attempt on the last drive of the first half, it appears we never really had any intention of challenging the Eagles' defense.

We were playing scared without Tyron and Dak's INTs pushed the coaches even further into a shell. In some ways this is understandable given the debacle in Atlanta, but the coaches' game plan appeared to be to hope we get lucky. Funny thing is it worked in the first half, but Wentz wasn't going to play like that the entire game and he didn't. 30-0 in the second half was the result.

At the end of each half we always play for a field goal. Our MO is to drive right down to the 20 and then run 3 unimaginative plays for 2-3 yards and then kick it. JG has no killer instinct. His problem is that even though the defense is stinking it up he still plays the conservative hand and puts the game in the hands of the defense. If your strength is the offense (debatable after last night), then why not roll the dice and try to hammer your opponent. What have you got to lose? JG's conservatism has lost us a lot of games over the years, and it's not going to change any time soon.

Meaning 2015 all over again with Cassell and Weeden.. difference is Dak can get out the pocket and make throws in the run..

Honestly I think we are over-rating Wentz’s performance last night. The two TDs that blew the game open can be attributed to bad play by a single player.. the long TD run where I think Hitchens didn’t align the defense properly and Brown giving up that long catch which he’s been doing all year.

This two TDs blew the gamd out of hand..

We also gave up a really long run where Jones saved the TD from behind if I remember correctly. And our DL by the end simply gave Wentz way too much time to throw.

By trying to play it safe, we gave up huge plays..

KC with 13 seconds left in he 2nd QTR took the chance to score. JG would never do such a thing.

Against our secondary Wentz completed 50%, that’s horrific.

LOL. Wentz is legit. I simply don't understand the desire to not admit what's pretty obvious. The kid is a pretty good QB.

And Garrett telling Tafoya at the half that our plan is to run the ball and throw short passes and one will finally break was hilarious.

We play every game with a hand tied behind our backs.

That was funny wasn't it. The ultimate cheerleader to the end. Even if the last 500 attempts did not yield a break away touchdown the next one could be the one.

The ultimate inanity was 3rd and 2 and we motion Beasley into the back field and then hand the ball off to Rod Smith who ran right into the back of an OL two yards behind the line of scrimmage. Not sure if that was a give up call or just shear stupidity, but why in the world they bring Beasley in the backfield effectively bringing another defender in the middle where we are about to run it is beyond me.

The best part of this is that they were having success running right behind Collins and Martin and not much running behind Cooper and Bell.

So what do they do in a key 3rd down? Run behind those two.
