Willie Williams ILB 6'4" 220 Union College

http://www.ucbulldogs.com/roster/6/19/4956.php

If his name sounds familiar it's because he was a top high school recruit and went to Miami. Miami got a lot of slack for signing him because he had like 15 arrests. He spent 2 years at Miami and then went to a JuCo in California. He then went to Lousiville where he was kicked off for marijuana possession. He went to a D3 school but the NCAA denied him another year of eligibility. He is currently playing for Union College which is a NAIA school.

The kid has had some serious off-field issues but is a very talented football player. Claims that he is mature now and is trying to be responsible for his 3-year old daughter. Might be worth a low draft pick. We know how Jerry is the patron saint GM of 2nd, 3rd, and 10th chances.

ILB 6'4" 220 and off field issues, HELL NO!

6'-4 and weighing only 220, sounds LANKY and more like a big W.R. then an I.L.B. in the 3-4, TOO SMALL for the position IMO and add in off field issues, forget about it.

I want to keep the theme we have been using since Parcells came here when it coems to the draft, draft TEAM CAPTIANS, this way we have a bunch of leaders on the team, no more misfits, I understand Pacman and T.O., but enough is enough and lets just draft high character players from here on out..

Glad you pointed this out because I thought he was from Union College, a Division III school in most sports except for hockey, in Schenectady, NY. I grew up about 30 minutes from the school.

I'm from Long Island, where did U grow up in NY?

He absolutely tore it up in JUCO, hes got a serious track record but im all for second chances. Or 5th chances. I'm not saying we should draft him but some teams are going to be looking at him. He just needs to hit the weight room. Its not impossible for him to add the weight. A couple years ago everyone but me thought Brandon Johnson of Louisville wouldn't make a good pro cause he was too thin I think he was like 220 if I recall correctly when he got drafted and nows hes in the 240's and just posted a great season with the Bengals.
