For as big as the DFW metro area is, it sure seems like we see our Cowboys a lot.

I was at Best Buy (on 75/North Central) with my wife and son yesterday evening, and while checking out I looked to my left and the guy checking out right next to us was Dez. lol

He was there with a couple of other guys (not Cowboys players).

I know, no big deal, but it kind of was cool in a "small-world" sort of way.

Cool.

A few years ago a guy in a fancy car pulled up beside me at a stoplight and motioned for me to roll down my window. He wanted directions. It was Roy (WR) Williams.

I've seen Cowboys and Mavericks players often around Dallas, but this one was really weird in how it happened.

A part of me in that situation says "be cool, he's out and about with friends and probably doesn't like to be bothered by fans 24/7" another part of me says "F that, he's Dez mutha *** Bryant ask to take a pic of you and him throwing up the X!"

My cousin has said that Dez is the one dude you will see out and about in all parts of Dallas.

A long time ago, after a Rangers-Red Sox game. Baja Beach Club.

Stepped up to a wall stall next to none other than Wade Boggs.

Looked over at him and said, "Hey, aren't you that guy on the Simpsons?" (There was an episode with lots of baseball players.)

He laughed, "Yeah, I guess I am." The whole room busted out laughing.

I peaked that day. Been downhill ever since.

One Christmas Eve many years ago, the wife and I(at the time it was my girlfriend)were at a blockbuster getting a movie to watch. Who was there buying at least 50 videos? Deion Sanders.

This was back when Deion, Troy and Moose all lived in willow bend in Plano(also Shawn Bradley, who, when I was working at the target there came in and I had to hook him up with a cake(I worked in the bakery) and boy was that man tall as all get out, and a couple Dallas Stars too)

Several years previous to that I had a weird two days:

Day one- driving to work and was about to be at the stop sign to the main road in my neighborhood. You can't really see to much on the main road as there are bushes and walls blocking the view. So what happens? Troy Aikman comes running across the intersection, not stopping whatsoever, so I had to slam on my brakes to avoid running him over.

Day two-the very next morning, I'm on way to work again, this time driving down the main road. Well Deion lived on that road, and as I was approaching his house(couldn't miss it, had 24 inch gold letters on the gate that said prime time) I notice a man in his driveway. As I approach closer, the man walks out into the middle of the road and I had to swerve to avoid hitting him as he looked a little confused... that man? Deion Sanders.

Living in that neighborhood, I got to regularly see Moose walking his dog without a leash(the dog stayed right by him. Great dog) while drinking a beer. Yes they were definitely beers because I couldn't get over the fact that he was always drinking crap beer.

Edit: I also saw Bradie James a couple years ago at a Costco. He was begging his wife to get the three-ply. It was awesome. I also was once a custom home builder, and we built Keyshawn Johnsons house that he lived in here in Dallas. Met him several times. He loved talkin about the house he was having built in California. I was at his house the day we cut him to sign TO. He was pissed off when he got home. I thanked him for all his hard work for us and that as fans we loved him because he does everything a wr should do, and we despise TO. Hopefully I did right by Cowboys fandom.

No, just nodded.
I try to leave those guys alone.
About 5 years ago, I ran into him when he was doing an appearance at 7 on 7 camp. I did say hi then, but not much else.

lol Great story, but that if you're talking about the episode I think you are, that was 1992.

I really envy all of you. Living in Canada I have 0 chance of ever running into Cowboys players when I'm out and about. On top of that dealing with frigid weather and snow all the time you all just ruined my day.:lmao2:

Mr Invisible Roy Williams need directions on the field, too. No surprise off the field

Yeah if they make eye contact I just give them a thumbs up but most of the time they try not to be noticed.

75/Park Ln?

You make enough money working at Target to live in the same neighborhood as Aikman, Moose and Dion?
I'm doing something wrong. My neighbor is an accountant and the other does IT for a government contract.
