would be to sign FS Darren Sharper. I read that he'll be a UFA. Yeah yeah i know he's old, 36, but the guy makes INTs which change games. He's a huge upgrade over Hamlin and he's still playing at a very high level. He's a vet. We are geared to win now so relying on a rookie at FS is scary. Hamlin is just not making enough plays. Sharper should be good for another year or two. Shouldn't break the bank either.

Even if Sharper stayed in NO's system, he wouldn't come close to matching his production again next season. Then take into account that in our defense, with attacking LB's from all over the field, the FS in particular is the last line of defense and responsible for a lot of field. He gambles, they put up 7. Old, declining FA's coming off spectacular seasons do not make SB teams.

Also, if for some insane reason this were to happen, yes it would break bank.

He had 9 picks this year. He has 9 picks in the previous 3 years before that. We need to get younger not older. Brett Favre just had the best year of his career. Should we be chasing after him also?

I don't think we'd offer him any more than New Orleans or more than a one-year deal, so I can't see him leaving a Super Bowl team to come here or the Saints wanting him to leave.

Sharper would hamper M Hamlin for sure but that might not be a bad thing. I think MH can be a player.

I like your draft esp the first 4. Washington will be a player in this league.
