Smash Peyton Manning nonstop...

The Bills didn't blitz, they played deep coverage, ran the ball down their throat. Got a couple turnovers, and held them to 17 points.

I fell like we need to use the same game plan
I agree.

And it isn't even like the Bills ran the ball well or controlled the clock.

The Bills defense played deep, forced Manning to focus on his RBs and TEs, got a couple of fumbles, and scored a defensive touchdown.

If the Bills had any kind of offense, they'd have won.

We don't have the personnel of either SD or Pittsburgh.

We don't have the personel in the secondary to drop back i n coverage all day

He's going to throw for a lot of yards and several TDs no matter what we do. Might as well hit him along the way.

If only we were playing last season's Colts.

Anyhow, Jacksonville and Cleveland did a better job shutting down the Colts last season -- and neither of them sacked Manning one time.

And neither of them beat Indy

Next?

Adam you're probably wasting your time trying to explain it.

All these foks think is "blitz, blitz, blitz".

Exactly.

These short-bus candidates that think you can blitz Manning non-stop don't have a friggin clue-- not a single solitary clue.

The same could be said for those who think a secondary of Roy Williams, Pat Watkins and Anthony Henry can even begin to slow Indy's passing game

Ditto for Jacksonville and also Tennessee, when they played them.

These are the opposing QB's ratings in the games in which the Colts were held to 21 points or fewer:
Leftwich 47.8
Young 34.4
Losman 86.4

Romo just has to be Romo.

I have been saying this for a long time.. especially this week, and I have caught nothing but grief for it... The way to beat Manning is to make him drive the field. Make him play to underneath options. You will not beat Manning by blitzing him all day. Getting pressure is important on any QB, but if we have to send 7 or 8 on a consistant basis to do it,, we will be destroyed. The front line have to come up big in this game.. as far as pressure. I would throw in a blitz every now and then.. but I my game plan would be to make him drive the field and capitalize on the mistakes, HE WILL MAKE.

I agree. I think that Dallas has to pick and choose when they blitz but I don't think constant blizting will work for us. Best way to control manning and that offense is by keeping them on the sidelines by running the ball effectively

You're exactly right.

Most of these goofs don't have a clue.

Do you know who's in the secondary for the Bills?

Clement, McGee and two rookies.

I hope you're not suggest the Cowboy secondary is worse... I really hope you're not saying that.

Of course it won't work.

To see how Dallas is going to attack Indy re-watch SB 25. Which wasn't a blitz-fest by the Giants.

Too bad all of our blitz get clogged in the line

Exactly. It unbelievable that we can't blitz. everytime we blitz it seems to get clogged at the line. I watch other teams and they always seem to have a guy free; what is our problem. It must be Zimmer's schemes.

thats the key, remember Joey porter wasnt scared,he said we are coming and they did relentlessly, and he gets very rattled,as bad as bledsoe.
our defense isn't a quarter of what pitts D was last year

Yea must be,, it couldn't be that the PLAYERS didn't execute?

You do know that offense is part of the equation, right? Jacksonville and Cleveland scored nine points -- combined. If Pittsburgh or San Diego had done that, they would have lost, too.

Offense? What's an offense?[/HH31]

The Boys secondary needs to be extremely physical at the line of scrimmage with the Colts receivers.

I like what the Bills did by double teaming the wideouts....excet that it appears Stokely will be returning this week giving them the third weapon they need. I wouldn't mind double teaming Harrison, with TNew shadowing Wayne and manning up Henry with Stokely.

:) SB 25

I remember thinking at the time that it was the first time I'd ever seen a coach single handedly beat another team.
