Always interesting to look through…Some interesting ones from Sunday’s win over the Panthers:
  • Cowboys had 61 snaps compared to Panthers 70.
  • Connor McGovern only had 10 snaps but they were very impactful. Especially as a fullback.
  • Chauncey Goldston had 49 snaps compared to Osa Odighuizuwa’s 41. Both had a 0.5 sack and Osa also had a TFL.
  • Micah Parsons played a lot more this week. He had 68 snaps and and had a sack and a TFL.
  • Think of this- 3 Cowboys rookies (Osa, Goldston and Parsons) had a combined 2 sacks and 2 TFL, and a bunch of QB pressures. This rookie class making noise!
Thoughts on snaps and their implications?

MCGovern wasn’t always at FB
He lined up as an extra TE on Atleast one play
Blocking in space is hard but he’s pretty good at it
I suspect we see more of him blocking
I can’t wait till he gets a run or pass lol
Parsons at LB means more snaps for him because he’s not fighting with 300 pounders as much

I heard something from today’s press conference that amazed me
30 guys have taken snaps on defense this year, in 4 games
That was surprising to hear since you never have 30 guys on the roster at one time on defense

Interesting that Hamilton had 31 snaps, Bohanna 17, and Faoliu 13 snaps. I always thought Hamilton outplayed Bohanna in preseason. Bohanna got the nod for the roster because he would have been poached from PS.

Faoliu got almost as many snaps as Bohanna. Might just be ST snaps though. Not sure.

Only 2 were ST snaps

Yeah bro. Was surprised to see that we had less snaps and less TOP. But still was ahead by 22 at the end. Scary when they pulled within 8..

Shultz clearly the #1 TE

Jaylon back down to lower numbers again. Clearly the coaching staff sees what most of us see. Did Goldston start at DE?

I would like to see a lot more of Cox and Wright out there. Its like those guys arent even getting out on the field.

Do you think that teams will figure out when we use him what plays we are gonna run with him in FB position.

So, was Gregory also out most of the 4th? People talked about Diggs, buy I think Gregory was also resting most of the 4th, or was I wrong?

Several guys were out
I’m hoping they learned from that mistake
It’s one thing being up 3 processions with 4 min to go but 15 min is a lot of football to go
That game drug on forever

So who wants to tell Bobby it's Golston?

That seems to be a really tricky last name for this fan base.

C'mon, people. It's not like its Whitten. That took me a while to learn.
OSA will always be OSA
I’m not even trying that last name
