Until we stop doing this so much we're going to keep on see'ing pre-snap penalties.

Our personnel just doesn't allow us to run this with consistent success. It never has and never will.

Dallas needs to bring more tempo and just try to overwhelm teams with our athletes. Stop letting everyone on both sides of the ball get set.

We're such a sloppy and poorly coached team that refuses to make adjustments so I doubt we'll ever see this changed with Garrett.

you're preaching to the choir. you can't really fallback on the excuse that it's the new oline's fault b/c this has been a problem for YEARS. honestly romo deserves a lot of the blame too. he is too non-chalant sometimes coming out of a huddle.

Perhaps but I never expect a TE to get called that often.

One on Free was really iffy especially as they let a Seahawk get a two second head start last week.

Then again, what can you expect when you use scabs.

I don't agree. We don't have the horses to just line up and beat you. We must out think you. That means giving the QB as much time as possible to see the defense show it's hand and adjust accordingly.

If we would just go more no huddle and change our cadence up and give our linemen and receivers a break from the whole pre-snap garbage we'd be a lot better offensively.

We rely too much on our players ability to think instead of just playing instinctive football.

I think this contributes to the presnap penalties.

It's hard to hold that position for that whole time.

Garrett should just stop calling his plays and let Romo do his thing. Its obvious that the problem is when Romo changes up the plays with an audible. This causes penalties and confusion.

Why not let Romo just call the plays he feels is right at the huddle and go from there. Thus we don't need to audible as much.

If Romo has to audible on just about every play, then that means his not happy with the call. Thats on Garrett.

We play a lot better when we're moving at a fast pace. I often wonder if running a no-huddle every so often would be good for this team. It would help to get Romo into a rythm.

I just think fast instinctive football is the way to go with this offense. Especially with a guy like Romo who can buy time.

Playing slow lethargic football just leads to sloppy play from our offense, especially early in games.

What I'm saying is, if the play calls for a run between the tackles and the defense is set to defend that, we don't have the talent to win that battle. We must audible out of it.

If we're taking a shot down the field, we need to be sure who is coming after the QB and where. Because we have no faith whatsoever in our protection.

There are reasons why the offense is run this way and I think it has everything to do with the shortcomings in our personnel.

If we have to audible out of many of our plays that goes to show you that Garrett doesn't have a feel for the game.

A lot of our penalties come from when we audible. Ask why do we audible so much? The reason is that Romo isn't pleased with the play and needs to change it.

That's not how this offense works.

Romo has a pass/run option on each play and given the freedom to make the determination which one is best for the defensive look.

He seems capable here, but it looks like the wr are not able to adjust appropriately to the play changes, the entire team looks off on some of the play changes.

Not that its a bad idea to run this strategy, but why does it look like they dont know what to do when the play changes.

You are one of the best posters on this forum. I think Romo causes some of these false starts as well. Witten was even confused on the one where he had a false start. After the false start he lifted his hands up to Romo like.."WTH? Witten is not a dumb player, he knows when he is supposed to go in motion and what to listen for. Romo is certainly confusing these guys at times and he is part of the problem.

This is why i am wondering if garrets offense just calls for too much in game adjustments to be effective. Maybe the whole thing is just too complex.
