It's funny, before the break and the review, they were showing a much better angle showing the ball when out and should have been a touchback. They come back from commercial and only show the one angle where you can no longer see where the ball went and just go on with the call.

It was the right call. Yes he fumbled the ball through the end zone, but his foot was out of bounds before the ball crossed the plane. So even though the ball was coming out, he was still touching it as he was out at the one.
