Newman gets torched on back to back plays, then later gets a ball thrown straight to him.

I'll never forget knowing that Newman was done when he was choke holding Brandon Marshall into the endzone (when he was on Dolphins) on Thanksgiving

But look at that face. It's furious.

That was the play where he wore him like a cape.

Iirc, though, he simply had outside contain on that play and the safety bit to cover a TE upfield.

Selective memory is a key cog in pushing an agenda.

Back on topic of the game - did Bruce Arians just attempt to ice a kicker in the preseason? Really?

Newman's 2 years in Cincy have been much better than his last 2 years in Dallas.

Just about the same number of targets but better completion percentage, fewer yards, fewer YAC, lower YPC, and fewer TDs surrendered in Cincy.

It's pretty unreal, really.

Also seems to have gotten past whatever preseason injury bug he was suffering from in Dallas.

From 2009 to 2011 it looks like Newman was listed as DNP for 7 games. Didn't play in any games in 2011 preseason. Didn't play in any of the preseason finale games.

Thus far, Newman has NEVER been listed as DNP for the preseason games in Cincy.

Perhaps just coincidental, but part of me wonders if Dallas is overly cautious and the performance on the field suffers because guys haven't been putting in the work prior to opening week.

So help me, I like Richard Sherman. He's a thoughtful and intelligent person.

He really is. People can't see past his mouth (which, frankly, doesn't bother me a bit). He's a very smart and talented player, though. I don't know that he's the best corner in the league, but he's up there.
