I do not know what got into the Raiders but for the last 3 or so days but they have been running like a decent franchise.

They made some nice picks. I think they got some really good value with B. Campbell and with DMC, Heyward-Bey (who sucks but is fast) and Ford, they might have one of the fastest offenses.

J. Campbell is a good pickup for a 4th rounder. I've always felt he has gotten a raw deal. IIRC he hasn't been in the same offensive system for more than 1 year since HS. That's ridiculous.

Trading campbell was the last piece of evidence of how inept Joe Gibbs was in his return.

You could make a case Gibbs, cerato and snyder set the franchise back 3 to 4 years because they had no idea what they were doing and no plan and just implented something new every offseason.


Two 1's to get campbell and they trade him away for a 4 they cant use for 2 more years.

someone in chat said that the raiders told al that the draft started on saturday and that his first round prospect would still be on the board...then sure enough pick 106 today comes bruce cambell and then pick 108 Jacoby ford.

i found it hilarious when that happened and remember that being said in chat.

they used their 05 and 06 1st round pick to select him didnt they? Or am I remembering it wrong.

without looking it up I thought they swapped 1s in 05 and sent 06's 1 for campbell.

I suppose I could look it up...

edit I did look it up. They traded their 05 3rd rounder, their 06 1st rounder and 4th rounder.

so yea I was wrong. But it doesnt change anything, they gave up a 1, 3 and a 4.

Well, it changes things a little lol ...But, yeah, we didn't exactly get a good return on our investment, and that's putting it midly. I doubt anyone would or could argue against that.
