So...was it snowing in Dallas? I know Atlanta got a lot, and here in the DC area we are supposed to be getting 1-3 inches tomorrow. But Big D? Snow? Ice? Nothing? What's going on in my favorite city?

Yes, it snowed yesterday and some this morning, mainly on the Northeast-side of the Metroplex.

And as usual, traffic was a nightmare in Dallas. It wasn't bad in Ft. Worth.

wow. no doubt your from the south.

There is so much wrong in this post its kind of comical.

Let me guess. You own a big expensive snow throw for anytime you get a dusting of snow? Probably have an aversion to physical activity too.

lol what?

you snap pretty easily.

I used to snow BLOW and shovel my driveway growing up when the snow was almost up to my waist dude.

i spent many hours shoveling making money when I was a kid and doing it for my parents and neighbors.

Your talking to someone who used to shovel for an hour with my dad before going to school all the time. Its fun you should try waking up to a foot of snow and about 2 feet frozen at the end of the driveway after the plow comes by sometime.

:laugh2:

If you live in a place that gets any real amount of snow and you don't have a Snow Thrower...well...as Bugs would say...what a Maroon.

I absolutely LOVE my Snow Thrower.

Probably the best $800 I have ever spent on something.

??? Did you not read earlier posts? I had about 18 inches of snow the day after Christmas, 7 inches of snow last Friday, and we are getting 12 more inches of snow tonight. I'm Alsop well aware of the damn snow plows and the absolute trainwreck of ice piled up at the foot of the driverway.

Schools around here closed like 12 hours before it actually started to snow.

Same here. And we got a dusting, but there will be loads of ice, and people here drive like idiots.

This is the exact reason I moved to Texas. I grew up in the Chicago burbs and have shoveled more snow that I care to think about. Now I just wait until the sun comes up a little more and melts it. ;)

I went to the Casino one night last year won 1000$ at Black Jack

said I was going to buy a Snow Blower with it

next day was at lowes

http://i80.***BLOCKED***/albums/j190/sjurg71/043033551095lg.jpg

best 800$ I have ever spent

last year we got 12" first snow - we had about 80" last year

2 car drive wat about 40 feet long

oh yea I could shovel it out but what for - plus you have to shovel any way so I get my exercise - you ever tried to lift one this size - must be close 400# so go out and get work out

we your back will be singing I wish I had bought a Snow blower

More snow here in NYC but it's not too bad. Granted, I live in an apt so I don't shovel but was hoping to have an excuse to work from home, unfortunately everything seems to be running on time.

My company is up in Westchester and they pro-actively call snow days when the weather is supposed to be bad. Just about everyone can work from home, so it's nice for people that work in the office. We also have a bunch of people that live upstate in Putnam/Orange county, so they wouldn't be coming in regardless.

Move to Mississippi. We don`t know if snow sucks or not. We have not seen enough to form an opinion.

I got 15"-16" last night. :banghead:

btw theebs, the icy salt filled slush snow at the foot of the driveway was three feet deep this morning. :/

I have a four foot canyon of snow around my drive way. The piles at the base of the drive way are over 6 feet deep.

I have pics, I will post them when I get a chance.

3-5 inches would shut down Mississippi. We may get an inch or two every few years. It usually melts in a day`s time.

yep, plows will do that.

Dont worry it only gets better, it will freeze and then it will take til april to be completely gone. The mud in the spring is the most annoying part of the winters up there.
