and they score 14. What a joke. Hopefully voters will remember running a hurry up offense with 30 point leads shouldn't mean ****.

Thats the difference between playing poor Big 12 defenses and having to play a defense with real speed and the ability to make big plays in the clutch to shut down offenses.

3 times that defense/special teams turned OU away in situations where they should have gotten points.

Well OK turned over the ball twice in the red zone, which is pretty safe to assume was AT LEAST 6 points. The blocked fg took away another 3.

both INTS went right through the wr's hands. The second was the worst of the two.

Florida is a good team, Oklahoma is also pretty darn good. But Florida played better late in the game and def won the battle for line of scrimmage. They were pressuring bradford even when they had 3 and 4 man rushes.

And against the mediocre defenses in the Big 12 they dont make those redzone errors.

Florida was able to pressure Sam and force him into maybe some passes that weren't exactly where he wanted them or how he wanted them.

There is only 1 school other than Oklahoma that has enough talent to spread to the defensive side of the ball and that's Texas in the big 12.

And SEC UF had difficulties against a sub-par Big 12 OU defense...

It just shows the matchup was a crapshoot... we need a playoff system...

They didn't have enough trouble against them. Over 2 hundred yards rushing as a team and Tebow threw for around 250 more yards. That's hardly having a lot of issues with the OU defense.

And that especially showed on that brilliant, championship sealing, 11 play, 75 yard, 6 minutes and 52 second touchdown drive.

I've gone back and read a lot of my posts in the sports zone about OU and its crazy just how spot on I was once again.

I hope College Football stops giving them opportunities.

What pisses me off even worse is OU lost to the 2 best teams on their schedule.

They can't beat good teams but they will punish teams with above average Offense with 0 defense.

Thats why they are a fraud and people must stop being fooled.

Well they scored less points than OU gave up on average this year per game... that average included the whopping 2 points that mighty Chattanooga scored on them...

True, true. The point is in championship games you come in expecting to have to score less than normal cause you just expect defenses should step up cause of the importance of the game. This doesn't always happen but it did for OU last night. Their defense played much better than they normally do and coupled with Tebow being a bit off early in the game with his decision making it allowed the game to stay competitive and close.

Until the 4th quarter, where champions rise to the occassion, and Florida did exactly that.

Oh I wasn't surprised by the OU loss by any means... but this game just proved what a muddled system it is and how ridiculous it is...

UT wins and drops a spot. The team they beat moves up a spot. #7 beats #4 and jumps #3. #5 beats #8 and jumps #3... it is ridiculous... it really is...

This has been the worst season yet for the BSC and we still don't have a clue as to who the best team is...

What sucks is Tebow left a lot of yards on the field.

OU was setting their defenders way off and bring up their safetys.

Their were countless times Tebow had receivers wide open down the middle of the field and he just didn't get them the ball.

That game could've gotten ugly had he connected.

Credit to OU's defense though. Im suprised they played so well. Its one of their top 3 defensive performances in the last 5 years.

In the end though OU's defense finally caved, and not to my suprise, OU couldn't score at will when they faced someone else who could actually play defense (like Texas)

OU's receivers sucked badly - you talk about yards left on the field by Florida- if OU's butterfingers had not been, it would have gotten ugly for Florida.
Bradford put the ball in their hands- at that point its all up to the receiver to complete the play.
Reminds me all too often of what our guys did this year in too many games- and in last years playoff game as well.
Clearly OU was in that game and with a few breaks could have won it. WHich is much better then the last two times they were in that game.
And they certainly looked MUCH better then Ohio State did last year- and the time before.
