I think Choice is an awesome back, would suck to trade him and he ends up being a star somewhere else....
What are your thoughts on how the running back situation plays out?

I don't see Barber going anywhere anytime soon.

I don't think you give up on an first round pick after two years,so Felix is a lock.

Choice is a good player the excels at nothing,so if an offer was made I think they would have to listen.

I think for now, nothing happens. We might see a change after next season.

if an offer that is too good to pass up comes than you take advantage but as of right now nothing happens cause nothing needs to happen cause theyre still gonna be under contract

The writting is already on the wall on who would be kept or at least it appears so anyways.

Barber and Jones get the majority of carries and Choice is only getting token carries here and there instead of being more of our mid game guy. Ideally I think you want Barber in for the 1st and 4th quarters, to bruise the defence in the first and crush them in the 4th and Choice in during 2nd and 3rd with some Jones throughout whenever we think we can get him a big play or we need a big play to get some momentum back. To be honest though his durability and recent hessitation is a little worrying so it wouldn't be too far fetched to see him in another jersey in the future

Most likely we do lose a back though, but, probably not this year. Maybe at the end of next season unless theres some rediculous offer for one of them this year.

All three will be back next year. Good problem to have because RBs are injury prone now.

Barber and Jones still under big contract and Choice is cheap.

Jones and Choice can't be FA for at least 2 more years.

2 year from now I can see us trade or release one...I suspect it will be Barber as his style of running will wear him down.

Barber has not looked good all year. Felix can't stay healthy and Choice may be the best overall back of the three.

I think we keep all three for another year, but if health / performance are not there then the under-performer is likely gone.

Not sure what Barber's problem is this year, so he may be a candidate to move. The younger and healthier Choice is cheaper and more consistent, so we should keep him.

Barber may be a salary casualty depending on what the team is paying him. He should be a short yardage and closer back - $8M/year seems a bit overpriced. Next year is still slated to be cap free so I guess it is only Jerry's money so maybe Barber stays if the man is in a generous mood.

To be honest, I dont think it's even a question.

No one has proved to be able to handle a load of carries. I do think however Marion Barber needs to see a decrease in carries, until he earns them back. It is clear his performance on the field could be duplicated and then some by either Jones/Choice.

all 3 are back, but if a trade is made I believe Barber will be the one on the way out. I can picture MB3 having another inury plagued season in 10, and when we eventually go down to 2 backs, MB3 will be the one to leave via trade for draft picks, which could happen in the offseason

Excels at nothing? I don't think we've been able to see enough to say that.

He excels at running against great run defenses when given the ball - he showed that last year against the Steelers, Ravens and Giants.

I don't see why... It's just a matter of how and how often they're used.

First 5 games (Barber/Jones/Choice):
Yards: 344/288/225 = 867 (173.4/game)
Carries: 72/37/44 = 153 (5.7/carry)

Last 5 games (Barber/Jones/Choice):
Yards: 272/139/97 = 508 (101.6/game)
Carries: 66/30/12 = 108 (4.7/carry)

I'm no mathamagician, but that's 30% less carries and 40% less yards. That's a big drop in usage and production.

(I have a degree in English Lit...correct my math if I"m way off... thanks :) )

All 3 of them are under contract for next year, so why would we need to move one of them???

Unless I get a real sweet offer of at least a mid 1st round pick, I am bringing all three back next year.

No one would trade for Barber at this point. But I could see you cutting him if it reduces payroll. I have no idea how the uncapped year works, but if I were a Cowboys fan, I'd be happy with only Choice and Felix splitting the carries and Barber elsewhere.

If there is no salary cap, why would we need to reduce payroll???

Probably no reason to. Unless you think that there will be a salary cap in the future and this one year is a good time to get rid of bad contracts. But again, I really don't know how the salary cap works this next year - they probably have controls to stop everyone from dumping bad contracts.
