Daydreaming and looking at the recent posts..

This question came to mind.

For 3 years now going on 4, Dak has been very healthy overall

But when he has struggled it's been from things like Zeke's suspension or injuries on the OL unable to protect DAK or open holes for Zeke.

So now Dak has 2 injuries..

one his finger injury and now his throwing shoulder.

Obviously the finger affected him last week but the shoulder is possibly worst.

Can Dak overcome his injuries and end the season with possibilities?

This is one untested area about Dak we are clueless about longevity at the position and that huge contract.

I will add that this season and last other QBs considered as top tier like Rodgers, Brees and Holmmes have overcome injuries to go on and win and keep their teams in it.

And before we first drop this huge contract on Dak..we should have some info to consider about Dak first.

This maybe why Dak has not gotten his big deal yet. The FO is still looking at it before ponying up the money.

I mean if I am going to drop a bankroll on a new car..I am going to need some reviews about it like cost of repair, MPG and customer satisfaction.

So let's see if Dak can do it.

The 2nd bird to kill is if Dak gets us across the finish line to a division title with these injuries..

Does that end the discussion about giving him his new contracd going forward?

I think it will. He will get his pay raise.

If he faulters, lingering questions remain in my mind.

How do you guys see this?

Meh.....

He’s getting a raise, like it or not.its a gimme.
I agree.

The cowboys haven't been good at drafting QBs since Troy. Tony & Dak were consolation prizes that nobody expected to become starters when they were making the picks. I don't see them trying to move up in the draft to replace Dak.

The dudes never missed a snap and had taken some huge licks. He’s injured plenty you’d just never be able to tell. But no, they didn’t withhold signing him to see if he’d get hurt and how he’d handle it

He is a Honda Accord. I prefer my Audi RS5 Sportback. The best Honda Accord Turbo is nice. Leather, handles well, reliable. 252hp. The RS5 is better in every way. 444hp and all wheel drive. Can take on anything.

He hasn't been signed because he's asking for too much. The parsimonious Esteban won't give away the farm for one prized bull. Seems a shame dak only thinks about what he wants. Injuries don't equate to dak's contract status.

Dak will be signed, Jerry loves him. Not too difficult to understand here. The kid is all in 100% Dallas Cowboy. Is he Mahomes no, but we can win with him no doubt. Dak stood with Jerry, Jerry will stand with
Dak. Would be shocked at any other outcome.

Dak has proved time and time again that he is worth a 30+ million dollar a year contract. His knowledge of the offense, calling check downs, going to his 4th option, scrambling when he needs to, much improved accuracy, constantly trying to improve and his toughness. There’s no question about it so your post is moot, no offense. Dak is the man and he WILL be paid and deserve every penny.

Most players in Dak's position would blame injuries and avoid playing to make certain that Garrett does not return...

Dak will overcome his 3 injuries (right shoulder, left sprained wrist & right index finger) just as he did in the Rams game. He hurt his shoulder in the first quarter thus leaving Garrett/Moore pound the ball on the ground.

He'll be ready to put the Egals where they belong. NOWHERE!

BOOM! GO COWBOYS!

Dak is going to get a new contract no matter how this season ends. How he will perform with these injuries is anyone's guess. He may need to call it a season and let Cooper Rush take this team over the finish line.
