NFL Network is reporting this morning that Coughlin is retiring as expected, Pettine and Pagano will be fired and.........Garrett could be in trouble too. (which I doubt) Thoughts?

Pagano would never be fired. He is an icon in Indianapolis.

It's moments like this where I feel fortunate we have our guy in Garrett.

Well now I don't understand. I thought he was stepping down because he was done. Too old. Not enough energy. If he wants to keep coaching why not stay? Is it because of being in the same division as Will McClay?

Appears like he was basically told they want to move on and stepping down saves his dignity.

He does not sound like he is ready to retire at all.

The fact that he was run off and Reese keeps his job is hilarious to me. Coughlin had garbage personnel defensively since their last Super Bowl. Offense, his forte, has been decent enough to win.
