After Dez went down the 1 think i felt was more important than anything else to come away from camp knowing was the status of our kicker. Tonight was the 2nd game in a row now that we didnt come any closer to answering this question.

At the end of the game we had the chance to go for a decent mid to long-mid range field goal. But instead we decided to go for it on 4th down. Why? What was Wade and company hoping to get out of that? Maybe getting to watch you 3rd QB that will never play this year get the opportunity to throw the ball a couple more times. Or have the chance to let your kicker take another chance at kicking in game situations?

The Texans have 2 good kickers and one of them wont be on the team in about 2 weeks. Why not use these opportunities to find out if Buehler can handle the job?

Dallas messed up with that. They need to find a way to get our kicker some in game action.

It's a mystery why Buehler wasn't allowed to try the FG in that situation.

Yeah, you saw him in action tonight......................he had a Texans uniform on.

I'm probably wrong but if Dallas was confident why all the code talk when asked if it's Buehlers job yet.

psssss...there is one more preseason game. If the cowboys don't like what they see in Buehler, then they can pick up a kicker before the first game. Personally, I think it is Buehler this year, unless he totally starts off shakey.

We will have a good idea of what we have by game 3 of the regular season. Until then, I think it is pretty clear the Cowboys are going with Buehler.

they need to take fgs every chance they get. If they are not completely confident in his ability than they should pick up whoever the texans dump.

If they had gone for the FG instead this thread would be about why didn't we try to score a td since the offense had been struggling.

Actually this thrad wouldnt exist because i started it and i value our starting kicker getting experience in games over our 3rd team QB getting one more play. Who needs the experience more?

You do realize the offense that was on the field wasnt our first or second team offense... Giving a group of bench players 1 more down does much less for your evaluation of talent than letting us kick the FG. Our field goal team and kicker are first team players. Their is a chance that our first game of the season could come down to a FG by our Beuhler. What are the chances the last game comes down to a pass attempt from our 3rd QB?

As for the response of their being 1 more preseason game.... That proves my point even more. The last preseason game will probably be played mostly by the 3rd team players. They will get an entire game to see what they have. We havnt attempted a FG in 2 games now. We can not guarantee that we will attempt a fg next week. But we can guarantee we will get to see the offensive unit from last night play again.

I wasn't necessarily meaning you just a general statement about how this board is most of the time.
