I hope this isn't going to be a trend for the rest of the season. Just curious since I didn't watch the Chargers, but when Wade was a DC there, were the Chargers a good defensive team?

I am pretty sure that when Wade was there, the Chargers D was one of the best. I think it was ranked 6th overall.

Very good.

I was all in favor of booting Wade this offseason, but when Jerry announced "continuity!" I thought well, at least the defense will get better.

These first two games are scary.

Drew Brees is having wet dreams about playing us. The Saints will drop 60+ on this piss poor D.

Well, Wade had an emerging talent in Merriman... which we have in Ware.

The difference is Wade also had another edge rusher in Phillips.... who could take pressure off of Merriman.

Plus, Castillo had a career year. Williams is a fat NT (which I hear is the key ingredient to winning).

Wade had more talent in the front 7 in SD than he has in Dallas. RIght now, he has Ware and Ratliff....

The only positive I can pull out of this is the secondary should get better as we move along. We have two 2nd year players, and a new safety. We will see though.
