82 receptions for 910 yrds and 7 tds......yeah some of you guys were right. we better trade witten this year for a second rounder, hes really on the decline this season:rolleyes:

lol.

I'm happy to see, once again, Witten proving doubters wrong. Leading receiver, once again.

He was huge today, and did it with the Commanders knowing full well he was gonna get alot of balls thrown his way.

Yep. Couple of routes, run short of the marker, on third downs that I wasn't pleased with but Witten once again was consistent, and got the job done. As he's done year after year now.

Easily still my favorite Cowboys player, currently.

He wasn't this good at the start of the season, he's stepped up big time since but it doesn't change how bad he was playing this good early in the season

I swear he looked faster today than I've seen all year. He must have been nicked up.

If someone offered multiple picks, with at least one of them being a high one, how can you turn it down? With your logic, we would have never traded Herschell Walker and set this team up for 3 SBs in the 90's.

He's having a good year, but everyone on this team has a pricetag after this disappointing season.

I know...I mean he has gotten about 60 of those catches in the last 2-3 games.
:D

He was doing what he was supposed to do all year. It just so happens that with Roy W, Dez and Ogletree now out of the game, with Miles having Hurd on the other side of him...they might consider Jason a little more in the passing game again.

Not being sarcastic, just saying some things change when 2 of your top WRs are out of the game and the guy you bring in to replace one of them is put on IR so you are down to a 4th stringer starting...it might change the game plan up to use more of the TE again.

Just because a player has a few subpar games, it's totally a perfect valid reason to immediately start talks about trading him away.. even after said player has been a pro-bowl player for the past 6 years?

If they were offering multiple picks, with one being a nice high one, then of course you'd look at doing that.

But no one is going to offer you multiple picks for anyone on this team whose name isn't DWare, Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, or Miles Austin.

This team has nothing in comparison to the Herschel situation in 1989.

Nobody is going to offer enough to make the trade worthwhile for us, so the point is moot. It isnt worth it to trade him just so we can have an extra pick or two.

At this place it does.
:sarcasm:

Alot of people say is we need to get Dez and Austin the ball or Felix Jones more touches, but as far as I'm concerned, this offense should go through Witten, he's the difference maker, chain mover, drive maker. Too many games, he's not even an after thought in this offense, he needs to be a bigger part especially down the seem..

He's been fine catching the ball but earlier this year he had his share of mental mistakes as well as blocking mistakes, things he normally doesn't do.

So because of that we should consider trading him?

You're going to help me understand where I said anything about trading him.

I didn't say you did, I just thought you were implying that was a justification for such notions.
