So how did Biadasz do last week?

Looked good to me overall. Farniok had some whiffs and let the DT through on the play where Dak got injured.

Anyone look in detail?
Some some posts from some of the film guys I follow, thought he played well. Farouoik and Steele were the worst. Tyler up and down with some great looking traits.

Solid job in a tough matchup. He had one really bad pressure he gave up but did a good job in pass protection which is the biggest concern for me. We know he is more than capable as a run blocker and we saw early on how effective the cowboys ran the ball right up the gut.

he wasn’t spectacular, but I’m more optimistic on the guy than i was going into the year.

I’d give him a solid 6.5 maybe 7 out of 10 for this game.

IF we can come out of this year and at least know we have found a LT and our Center has come of age, it will something to salvage.

Steele is clearly a swing tackle type and McGovern sucks. Next season we need to draft another tackle with our first round pick and then sign a guard in FA. OR vice versa.

I wouldn’t get too down on Steele this early. Penalties aside he had a decent game. He had 8 penalties last year in roughly 1000 snaps. Unless he just turned into the 2021 version of Connor williams he should be OK.

Honestly outside of Farniok and the penalties this oline performed pretty well.

McGovern was doing well at LG before the injury for what it’s worth

I dont see him as a long term answer. Will always be the weak spot.

If that’s your weak spot you’re Ok though. Not really a direct comparison but he gives me Doug Free vibes from the type of production we should expect.

Good comparison, but I think Free was better. Free was actually the emotional leader of that line.

Possibly, and I would agree that I don't see Steel being the leader that Free was on the oline, but its also important to remember that Doug Free didnt even touch the field until year 3. Steele is just starting year 3 and has shown some flashed upside. I'd let this play out a little more this year before we give up on Steele.

Farniok had more mental mistakes but was better physically than Biadasz.

Biadasz played good. Was on point most of the night, including his snaps.

Farniok and Tyler Smith had a few whiffs, one each which resulted in Dak getting his hand hit twice and eventually breaking a bone. It's to be expected for 2 guys who started for the first time ever and had no 1st string reps all summer at the positions they played at. Overall, Farniok and Smith did ok. They will only get better. Sucks they are getting growing pains right now, instead of during the preseason, since Joe Philbin doesn't know what he's doing.

Outside of Martin of course and Smith who clearly has the talent, there is not a single other place on the O line where we should not upgrade.
