So, how DO we become one of the elite?

Time and Luck. New England is far better than they have ever been right now, and it took them time and luck. Their compiling of players is ludicrously good.

NE just has smarter players, and there's no replacement for that. They don't shoot themselves in the foot, and they are so versatile they can change their gameplan from week to week. They are mentally tough and they beat the teams they should.

Our problem is that when we bring in "experience" it's usually just old guys.

We need smart players. Being smart can often make up for a lack in physical ability.

Flo will most likely be here next year.

The biggest problems are obviously cornerback and wide receiver. Not have a legitimate 3rd option at WR (Sam Hurd sucks) and not having competent depth at CB (Nate Jones sucks) is going to kill us against better teams.

I wouldn't go along with the idea that Sam Hurd sucks. He's not great right now, but sucks, I wouldn't go that far. He may turn in to something. Have you forgotten the Giants game he iced.

Start video taping other teams and teach our players to play dirty.
Paying off the refs and the commish are other options.

thats what im saying.im starting to think the NFL coverup is too obvious here now.

2. More speed and quickness on offense. This is where maybe Stanback can help next year, but that might be too much of a longshot. We can see what a quick guy like Welker can do. We can't stretch defenses at all right now, and that hurts.

We need quickness at WR, a Welker or Randle-El type, a smallish WR that's very quick in and out out routes. More than anything, that's what we're missing on offense. Hurd, Crayton, TO and even Austin are all long-striders. Glenn was the one guy we had with very good quickness.

I disagree I think Roy should be benched; why people think he is untouchable I have no idea he has under preformed now for several years and their is no Zimmer to blame anymore
