If Romo doesn't play, and Orton's starting, what's the game plan??? This will really test the coaches because they'll actually have to have a solid game plan, and play calling to even have a chance. Also, Garret wont have his 100 million dollar QB telling him how to use his time outs, so he needs to put on his big boy pants this week and step up.
I think for us to win this upcoming week against the Eagles, we're going to have to be coached well, control the clock and keep the game low scoring just to even have a chance to win. I'd honestly hand off to Murray every down (except 3rd and long), and when you do throw the ball, throw screens or dump offs to Murray. I think the occasional throw to Dez in one on one coverage is fine, or maybe a deep ball off the play action to keep them on their toes will also suffice.
For us to win, Murray needs 30-40 touches while also being effective sustaining long drives, and our defense will also have to step up big time. We'll have a chance in this game if we can control T.O.P battle, and also by forcing an occasional turnover. We definitely won't have any chance at all if we decide to let Orton throw the ball a lot, or if we don't give our defense rest by long drives. Eagles have a fast paced offense that fatigues's defenses, so it's going to be essential we constantly have time consuming drives next week, even if they don't lead to points.
So what do you guys think? What's the game plan that will allow us to have a chance to win this game in the 4th QTR, instead of being a blow out?
