And it looks a little something like this...

I listed how it works in here: http://all22breakdown.com/running-back-explosion-chart/

What do you think? What needs to be changed/fixed? I'm looking for some suggestions.

No Marshawn lynch?

Edit: my bad I didn't read the article first, I see it was a random selection now

Personally an aggregate number tends to just be a number to me. It's a good concept to come up with one number to rank or compare players but it ends up not having a significant meaning to me. The individual stat ranking like a 68 for McKinnon's forty does have meaning. It appears that you used percentages for each category which is interesting.

A few years ago I created a forty scale to compare players of different weights. I called it the forty freak scale. On this scale you are a freak if your score is negative (negative indicates how much faster or slower your forty was than expected).

You could scale all timed measurable(s) in a similar fashion.

It basically had a 200 pound player that ran a 4.4 forty equivalent to a 307 pound player that ran a 4.93 forty.
200 pound player
4.3, -0.1
4.4, 0.0
4.5, +0.1

307 pound player
4.83, -0.1
4.93, 0.0
5.03, +0.1

Here is an example with the forty time for RBs in the 2011 draft. As you can see, Fannin was a freak with a 0.18 faster forty than the expectation. Mark Ingram was 0.15 slower than expected.

I think part of the explosivenes for a RB is how fast he can start/stop you need to consider change of direction e.g. shuttle/3 cone.
