I didn't get to see the game yesterday. I had family and friends who needed my time. Last night I received the download of the 1st half of the game and watche dit before I went to bed.

Early in the 2nd quarter Winslow caught his TD. That meant that from that point on in the game he and Braylon Edwards were non factors as far as receptions because it was his 5th and Edwards already had his 2.

I don't care who you are, that is amazing Defense to bottle up two players with their talent. Admittedly Edwards was rusty and dropped some he would normally catch. I don't deny that.

Strangest stat of the game to me...Bradie James did not have a tackle and did not play badly either as far as I saw.

Edwards should have had 5 or 6 catches and a td but he had a case of butterfingers.

They had a great game. They could of held the browns to 3 points if we didn't commit those penalties on 3rd down.

Pass rush was inconsistent at times but we really didn't blitz alot. I noticed we only rushed four at times. When we did blitz we were killing them with the A and B gap blitzes by Bradie and Zach

I disagree that Edwards would normally catch those passes if he wasn't rusty. He drops a good share of passes and did so in college as well. That is his norm. He will catch some and drop some.

I agree that it is quite a feat to slow both of those guys down. It was a good whole team effort yesterday.

If Newman would have played they possibly would not have scored.

Pacman is going to be a beast in about another month as well.

Hes still doing a lot off his natural ability and looks lost at times but is so freakin quick he can make up for his mistakes.

Right now he is what Parcells likes to call a Street Baller.

The Browns have a very good Oline you have to expect the pass rush to be somewhat inconsistent vs a good line.

Everyone was doing their job. Also, Zach is so much faster than Bradie reacting to a play. (as you can see, Thomas had 5 tackles to Bradie's zero)

I think it was a solid performance overall by the defense. Even Pac's PI call. I think that was a great play. I mean he was beat and it would have been for a TD, but he did what he should have done to prevent the TD.

The TD itself was Hamlin's fault for not staying at home. I believe that was 3rd down and I can't remember who (Ware or Spears?) was pinning Anderson. He could have forced him out or to throw it away. If Hamlin would have stayed home, it could have ended in 3 points rather than 7.

I didn't see Roy to much, but what I did see. I think he did a pretty good job and I saw him lay a pretty good hit.

Scandrick made a few errors, but played pretty well from what I saw. I think he was just nervous.

Hamlin gave up that TD best I could tell. He should have stayed home instead of advancing on Anderson as Anderson was already pinned. If he was have stayed home, Winslow would have been covered. So many defensive breakdowns are because one player doesn't trust his teammates to make the play. I think thats what Hamlin did.

Yea probably bad field awareness on the play or confusion

Yeah but im saying we would have never been in that position had Newman played.

They scored on us after we had a 3 and out and Scandrick made a noobie mistake and continued their drive.

I don't understand what you mean. Hamlin is a safety and he is a starter. How would a starting CB prevented Hamlin from rushing the QB? He wouldn't have. Winslow was in Hamlin's zone and Hamlin made the mistake of vacating HIS zone.

What he's saying his that THAT play would not have happened, because they would have had a 3 and out BEFORE that play. Remember when Scandrick got the penalty and kept the drive alive?

He was within an eyelash of taking one the other way for 6.

Wade has said that Zachs position is supposed to get the most tackles anyway.

I was refering to the play at hand, which is what I thought he was talking about. By what he said I didn't realize he was referring to previous plays, though true none the less.

I don't know. Our Defense look OK and played good. But it wasn't like we were dominating the Browns. It was more like last year. We played good but looked a little shaky sometimes.

To me it was more bad play by the Browns than dominating Defense by ourselfs that led to this one-sided game.
