So, if Ramsey were available, would you want him?

No. Ramsey is the QC of the Skins. Does just enought to make you think, maybe? and then he does something boneheaded. On top of that he's been Spurrierized. Seriously, I think playing for Spurrier ruined whatever potential Ramsey might have had.

I'd trade a 5th for him in the off season. He's got talent and it seems at every step Washington has done a terrible job of developing him. His rookie year reminded me so much of Aikmans rookie yr that I was truly scared the Skins had a future franchise QB.

My vote is based on being able to revert him to pre-spurrier form. Spurrier sat Ramsey back 3 yrs.

Patrick is a strange cat. He's likable as hell, has a monster arm, is as humble as any guy you'll ever meet, has a monster arm, after four years still seems to be processing information on the field a beat too slow, has a monster arm, has a penchant to give the ball away to the bad guys as often as find a good guy with it, and has a monster arm.

Gibbs gave him the entire offseason to get his head to finally catch up with his arm, and for whatever reason, it just didn't happen. The one thing Gibbs has always stressed, and will unitl he retires again, is that if you turn the ball over, you won't play.

Tough place for Pat to be in, and his legion of fans are pretty pissed this morning thinking he got short-sheeted by Gibbs. What few of them seem willing to admit or recognize is how Pat's endearing personal traits aren't enough to overcome his inability to harness that monster arm and become a truly professional NFL QB.

I have serious doubts he'll ever become the QB his arm should have let him become, because for 4 years I've waited to see "the light go on" for the kid and see him get to that place we all talk about in QB's where "the game slows down for them." It just never has for Patrick ... so assuming he does end up somewhere else at some point, whoever gets him is going to have to take a leap of faith that THEY can show him the light.

I'm not a Ramsey fan, and I wouldn't want him here, but when I hear that not turning the ball over is what is necessary or you will get jerked off the field I can't help but think of Brett Favre. Tell me a time in his career when he HASN'T turned the ball over?

I believe that Aikman was superior to Favre and this is one of the reasons, but at the same time nobody would argue that Favre isn't a hall of famer, and yet he didn't play BUS DRIVER at QB.

Don't you think we've got enough reclamation projects going on at the QB spot? I agree that Ramsey needs a new spot, but I wouldn't want it to be here.

If we're going to groom anybody, stick with Henson and Romo or draft somebody. But no more NFL projects and rejects.

Ramsey makes Quincy Carter look like a probowler.

I voted no, but before reading I thought it was as an option to replace Bledsoe. I'm all for something like that to replace Henson though! The guy is a bust, time to move on- Ramsey wouldn't be a half-bad option imo. Depends on what he would cost however. If not though, I can deal with Romo backing up Bledsoe. But if it comes down to Henson backing up Romo because DB went down, then I'll start to wish we had done something like this.

Well this won't be popular but If you got him for a 5th (not likely) I'd send Henson to Europe so he could get some actual work in a game, Then you work with Romo, Ramsey and Bledsoe. Evaluate them and keep the best 3, either trade or cut the others.

I'm a Henson fan but if he doesn't light up Europe then it's over for him. Now this is all based on the assumption that you don't think Henson is a no doubt franchise QB.

I wasn't aware that Ramsey had ever guided a team to the playoffs or finished as high as 12th in the Nfl in passing.

we don't need another 3rd string qb.

Exactly. Ramsey is first round draftee with round 4 talent. He's the worst possible qb, an inaccurate pocket-passer. He does have a competitive and tough nature, just not much talent to go with it.

Depends on what he'll cost...........Bring him into camp and the best 3 QBs will make the team.

going into next season.........

If Henson can't perform better than a guy like Ramsey next year then he not worth having around.

If Romo can't hold off Ramsey after 4 years in our system then he isn't worth having as a back-up.

If Bledsoe can't hold off any of these guys then he's not starting material

No he didn't and that's why he's on his way out of the league if he doesn't get his act together.

QBs tend to have nine lives in this league, so it's major that there are so many with big stats and playoff experience sitting at home waiting for the phone to ring. Kordell Stewart, anyone? (Tho he's prolly going back to B-more w/Boller out.)

Actually, I think he had a pretty decent year in Steve Spurrier's last year. He just didnt get alot of protection and the Fun N Gun style doesnt work all that well in the NFL.

It is too much chaos in the Commanders Organization to get a QB Settled.

He's lousy, a terrible waste of a first round pick, just like that bum Campbell will be.

I don't want him because we've already got Henson and he has too much potential.

But I think Ramsey is getting a raw deal. First he played under Spurrier. That's one knock. Then Gibbs comes in and has never liked the kid. He even drafted a QB in the first round who should have gone in later rounds to replace him. How would your confidence be affected? He's always looking over his shoulder trying not to make the next mistake because it'll give Gibbs any excuse to yank him. Wala. Look what happened.

So, I think Ramsey will go somewhere else, will play with a chip on his shoulder, and if he gets developed properly by a good QB coach, he will prove a lot of people wrong.

No... Spurrier destroyed this kid's psyche and his career. He's done.

Ramsey is better than Romo and Hensen.

If we were able to steal Ramsey from the Skins and sign him for vet's minimum with incentives, then I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Cowboys uniform.

The Skins have messed with his head so badly, he can barely function as a QB. A year under the Cowboys system, and he may turn into something worthwhile.
