What are our primary needs going into the Draft?

NT
OT
WR

In that order I would say.

Not even NT..They'll probably go for one in the later rounds now that Olshanky has come in.

I'd say BPA right now

NT
OT - He'll probably end up being a bust though
WR
S
LB - if Burnett leaves and Barbie gets cut

We need someone to take the load off Ratliff. He's racking up a lot of miles.

there is still a place for keith davis, if he can just see that he is a special team player and a special team player only.

Hmmm...I don't actually know about that. The Safety/Corner situation is so cloudy right now. I mean, if we assume that Sensey replaces RW, that still leaves Killa's old job available. Added to this, the possiblility of Scandrick playing a little Safety, the comments about Hamlin going over to FS, Jerruh's comment today about Sensy being the ideal FS...etc...

It gives me a headache just thinking about it. I guess that it actually might mean we need a Corner, not a Safety.

I choose to loftily ignore the secondary until they sort that big grab-bag out.

By the way, wasn't Campo Sensy's coach with the Jags?? If so, we have Campo and his old ST coach vouching for his skills. I like this signing a lot.

In no particular order:

ILB (maybe 2)
S
NT (we need a backup to help Rat out)
OT
QB
OLB (if Ellis happens to get cut. don't think he will)
CB (if a good one falls to us)
WR

We could really use any position for depth except for RB and TE. I wouldn't even mind another guard. DE isn't a must, but again, depends if we thought a really good one fell to us.

What do I think are the 3 most pressing positions? Safety, ILB, and either OT or NT.

we dont want to solely depend on gerald the new safety. Why, remember he was arrested again in february, you dont know if the commissioner is going to suspend him or how many games.

Next, keith davis is a leader on special teams, remember the cowboys were getting killed right nad left on special teams till keith came back and got into shape somewhat.

Next, yes I see the cowboys taking a NT, then a big mauling OG or OT, or maybe a G/C, then an inside linebacker because we lost burnett and brooking is no spring chicken, and i certaintly wouldnt like to depend on bobby carpenter. We need a speedy WR too and a bruising fullback.

so, NT, OG or OT, LB, safety, backup young QB, and bruising fullback.

get that and the cowboys are on the right track.

remember jerry jones said at one point at the end of the year, that the cowboys need a big NT in the middle, and if you have listened to some good ex cowboy players, Ratliff got beat up at the end of the year, so we do need a big NT. With jerry jones saying, yes we need a big NT, do you think the cowboys will draft one now?

Keith Davis didn't really do much in the way of special teams this year. If he walks my feelings won't be hurt as long as we draft a good SS with our first pick.

I think NT is just wishful thinking from fans and nothing material in terms of facts or coaches' opinions. I'm from I've seen on game tapes, Rat is staying where he is as he has a quickness advantage over centers, as well as being on par with them in terms of size. He also has remarkable technique in going against double teams
