Its okay for a guy like Witten to go off on the coach and QB after the game and not be a cancer? But when TO or Key does it, he's a loud mouth that just needs to shut up. Now before someone goes off, I agree with Witten. He should be the first read in every pass play, because he is are pro-bowl receiver. Its just the double standard that has me confused.

I must have missed this....please do tell.

And about the cancer thing, you get smacked with that label when you do it on a routine basis. If Key or TO popped off once, no one would care IMO.

I think the context of "yelling" at people also matters. Keyshawn ridiculed Wayne Chrebet for seemingly no reason. Or look at a guy like Jeremy Shockey, who's just as big an ___, if not a bigger one, than TO and/or Keyshawn. I'll never forget him calling Parcells a "homo." Really now, who says that lol.

Did Witten go off?
I didn't hear that.
If he did, he has every right to. He's the core of this offense IMO and is getting overlooked every week.

it's just the nature of a certain group of people to have double standards like the one you speak of... but then again, what am I doing calling these people "people"?

but yeah I agreed with Witten going off, Bledsoe slamming his helmet on the ground in front of the coaches, and Julius stomping and yelling on the sidelines

I'd be worried if our players WEREN'T doing that

Christi Scales said Witten was yelling at no one in particular on the way off the field... It wasn't like he got in a coach's personal space and and shouted in his face.

But even if he did, you still couldn't compare it to what TO and even Keyshawn have done.

To me, guys like TO and Key who have been very outspoken in the past about it tend to catch flack since they come off as just wanting to increase their stats, whether it be true or not. TO comes off as a guy that'd be pissed he had 2 catches for 24 yards even though his team won.

You could tell that Witten was just pissed that they didn't look to him when they should've, and as you said, rightfully so. Everyone knows he was pissed about not winning the game, not pissed about an average stat line.

We can't run the ball, Witten catches everything, I mean EVERYTHING thrown his way. He needs to get at the very least 10 ATT to him a game. We need new Coordinators on offense and defense imo.

It was reported in Dallas in the post game show by Dan Campbell that Witten was going off on either BP or Bledsoe and Burnett had to hold him back. I'm not saying Witten was wrong but somehow the cameras on FOX mysteriously missed this coverage. Just wondering if the cameras would have missed it with TO or is this the first time Witten has went postal!

Maybe he was just frustrated.
The plan was n o matter what, the ball was going to T.G.

Kind of like the game against the Chargers.
Didn't B.P. say no matter what the ball was going to K.J.
This could have been the same situation.

Witten is in a contract year though, he could very well want to more stats for leverage. By the way nice name, its my last name.

The play didn't call for a lock on Glenn, Bledsoe just said he knew was going to throw to Terry before he got up to the line. You can't blame that one on bad coaching.

The difference is that you will never see Witten working out in his front yard surrounded by the press or having a press conference to dump on Bledsoe and the coaching staff.

Interesting take on the situation. Witten is in stage one of his tantrum phase. Remember TO didn't start out with PCs, it started small and grew to epic proportions. Witten is on a big stage in Dallas.

True.
And if he did, unlike Philly fans, I would never accept him as a player in Dallas again.

Yes you can. That play should not have been called. Bledsoe said he also knew he was going to take a 3 step drop and didn't have time to survey the field. Why would you put your QB in that position? Terrible play call or just bad luck because Bledsoe didn't look left? I saw terrible play call because Bledseo shouldn't have been put in that position. If Bledsoe looks left and throw it to Witten for a TD it is good luck that overcame a bad play call.
