So long, Eli!

In the playoffs/Superbowl in those 2 Superbowl runs Eli threw 15 TDs vs 2 Interceptions.

If we are going to be honest about it, those are incredible stats.

Eli has superior talent around him on offense and dominant talent on the defenses supporting him. Any decent QB would have those rings and an Aikman or even a Phil Rivers would have turned those games into blowouts. Eli is slightly above average but completely overrated.

In 2009, we ended Donovan McNabb's Eagles career with 2 straight BEATDOWNS in Dallas.

24-0 in Week 17. Then 34-14 in the Wild Card round.

That's a 58-14 combined score in back-to-back weeks. Felt tremendous to send that clown packing with that taste in his mouth.

This feels just as good.

19-3 in Week 1. 30-10 today. So we smoked Eli "goofy, mediocre scrub" Manning by a combined 49-13 score in what could be his final season with the team.

We might not even make the playoffs. Odds are we probably won't. But today I ask, "HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS!?!?"

Went into Lambeau twice and beat them, and led the Giants to two big upsets over two HOF/future HOF QBs in Favre and Rodgers.

Went into Dallas and led the Giants to a victory.

Led his team to beat the greatest QB of all time, TWICE, in the Superbowl. One of the Patriots teams would have been considered the greatest team of all time had they won.

I know people love to rip on Eli here, however, you are kidding yourself if you don't think he makes it into the HoF someday

Of course he'll get in.

But the fact that there's even a debate about whether or not a guy with 2 Super Bowl MVPs should get in tells you all you need to know about the guy.

Why is it a debate? Because he's been mediocre for the strong majority of his career.

And it's not just bitter fans of rival teams. Plenty of Giants fans and NFL analysts question his worthiness as well.

Who cares?

History does not remember or care about the 'almost' interceptions. Every QB has them.

When I am looking at how a QB performed, the number of passes thrown directly to the other team matters. I judge by performance, not numbers.

Anyone who doesn't consider that is doing piss poor analysis, and that is a fact.

That's completely true. But its also true that if you had plugged Carson Palmer into the same Giants teams he would have the same or better performance.

You'll get absolutely zero argument from me on the fact that he was a mediocre QB.

Thank goodness they traded Rivers to San Diego on draft day.
That guy would've killed us for years... and he's still going.

Listened to the last few minutes of the game on the truck radio from the New York Market, man Eli can do no wrong according to NY fans some serious homerism going on with him and NY
