i guess i'm apparently the extreme minority on this, but i really don't think Stanback lost his spot b/c of tonight.

Brown - yes!

Proctor - should've been gone last year.

but i think Stanback was fine. by no means did he earn his spot, but i don't think he lost it either.

the fumble (if it really was a fumble, i can't say b/c the internet feed sucked) seems more to me like one heck of a job by the DB. should he have still held on? yes, but i can bet there's a great # of WRs who also have that ball stripped in the same situation.

i think all of my points are moot points b/c i think in the end he doesn't make this team. however i just felt the need to point out that he is not going to lose his spot on the team b/c of that play, he will lose it b/c Ogletree is just flat-out playing better.

What has he shown in 3 pre season games? Seriously?

Pat Watkins needs to go, but Micheal Hamlin broke his wrist.

The Special teams penalty machine lives.

Plus, he never makes plays at safety, and he makes mental mistakes back there.

I was so sure he was gone, but now...

Unbelievable.

Watkins is going to end up kill he's too skinny and weak to play in the NFL.

I wonder how many GMs around the NFL busted out laughing when they saw Procter/or get a 2cd round tender! Im glad Ogletree is showing Cowboy fans what a promising young WR can do for an offense... can we still get that 2cd round pick from the Jets, for Miles, because its night and day!

How do you know Hamlin broke his wrist?

I think both make it to the final pre-season game... I've been a Stanbacker but after tonight I think he may be done here.
Me too. He and Brown stood out tonight for lack of seizing the brass ring.

Watkins will make the team but I'd prefer him to take a spot over proctor/Stanback/Brown

Watkins is on the team. Heck, we drafted players specifically for their ST abilities, and Watkins is one of the best gunners in the NFL. I remember reading that he was one of the best in college also.

Brown, Stanback, Procter, and Watkins all need to go......too be honest, since he is always hurt, Cricket needs to go as well. I say either keep Crosslin or that TE from Southlake Carroll

I agree keep Crosslin and Chandler

I think we keep Stewart at LBer
Carp goes down what do we do ?

what did Stanglass do or should i say not do?
For one thing, he caught a pass and then promptly fumbled the ball to kill a drive.

Don't disagree at all. Just not ready to write Stanbach off. Proctor and Brown have looked awful. Watkins isn't in the same league but I have seen cause for serious concern. Stanbach hasn't really stepped up but I haven't smelled the stench of a failed experiment yet. I am also not sold on Ogletree as the second coming. I think Ogletree has earned receiver #5, just not sure Stanbach has blown the #6 spot. I have no 53 in my head yet with all the draftee injuries so I have no feeling if that spot will be there.

guess he just fumbled away a chance to be on this team.

Stanback shouldn't have been making this team since day 1. Tonight was just an affirmation of that. He's been nothing but potential since the day he was drafted. I used to pull for the guy but anymore I can't wait for him to be done. Feel bad because he was picked with such expectations and never really did a thing. Not really his fault people expected as much as they did but thats the way it goes.

As far as tonight goes, he looked terrible. He gets a few chances per game and hasn't made any of them count. His kick returns were far from special and his play at the WR position sucked.

I thank my lucky stars that Ogletree came along because without him, Stanback would make the roster again despite sucking so much.

I know, I meant Id much rather keep him over those 3 guys. He gets a lot of penalties, but the job he does on ST outweighs that in my mind.

I think all three will be cut but would not be surprised if they stick around for the next game due to the injuries we are having.
