So many QBs with more potenial/experience than Rush available

Basically, Rush and every guy listed will probably never be someone you want on the field. Tie breaker goes to the guy that actually knows this offense to some extent. So I keep Rush but I'm not happy about it

I'm all for upgrades, but have you actually watched any of the guys you listed play. Joe Webb is a 32 year old veteran that has barely thrown any passes and when he did he was absolutely horrible. There is a reason the Vikes tried to turn him into a wide receiver. Garrett Gilbert has no upside and no game playing experience.

There was a guy a couple years ago that just knew with every fiber of his being that Connor Cook was going to be a great QB. I wish I could remember who that was because he's a regular poster.

Yeah, predicting a guy taken 2nd overall will be better than a guy taken at the end of the 4th round is really going out on a limb, and showing amazing foresight.

Garrett’s fine with Cooper Rush because, if Dak were to go down early and for a long stretch, and we finished, say, 6-10 with Rush and/or White at QB, then JG would have his “Jerry excuse” for not losing his job.

I know you would.You said Rush would win the starting QB position last year. No problem going way out on a limb and being completely wrong just to hate a player. But, the hate for Dak is way more over the top for it just to be because you think Dak sucks, especially when you still think Rush is better. I wonder what that motivation could be.

If DAL liked him enough to almost take him in 4th round before OAK traded up, I hope DAL would put a waiver claim in for him. Then cut Rush. I would like a QB room of Dak, Cook and White.

No it wasn't Risen Star, I would have remembered that. I just remember how bad Connor Cook looked against a pro style defense in Alabama his senior season. I knew he didn't have what it took then. Of course Dak also got destroyed by Alabama but he was being hit on every single play. I honestly remember feeling sorry for Dak during that game and I didn't have any ties to the player at that point lol

I don't normally post much about college QBs but in that draft I said I would prefer Jeff Driskel over Hackenberg or Cook.

Driskel is not a starter but he is on a roster as the #2 QB (Bengals).
