Goes in and lets the tackle free to get to Bledsoe before handoff... That was a huge play in loss - TD

I don't know if I can discount Gurode on one play.

Granted it was a HUGE play.

But Al has cost us his fair share of downs too and Gurode seemed to help the run game between the Tackles a lil, IMO.

Gurode needs to take his lumps - he totally let his man blow up a play for a TD.

Same thing happened to Al Johnson in the same game - the result of the play was just slightly different (3 yard loss). Gurode was definitely better than Al today - don't know if that is because of the knee surgery.

Not - Gurode let A DT get to the QB faster than the RB was handed off to. Both played bad.

Yes the DT is much faster than Bledsoe, you are correct. That was the slowest stretch play I've ever seen. Bledsoe even sucks handing the ball off, about time you see the light Nors. :laugh2:

No - Gurode let his DT in free - not on Bledsoe. Reason he's on the bench and he cost us 7 points and the game....

Wow. Another agenda post, Nors. I'm shocked.

Maybe if Johnson actually held his own on some plays, he wouldn't consistently be replaced by Gurode.

Stick to the play, Gurode was blown out and it cost us a TD. Al J and all his sins did not err that bad. Rivera was blown up into Bledsoe and Petitti was owned by Strahan again...

We can't run for ****. Oline is bad

Bledsoe had a bad day too.

Gurode doesn't consistently replace Johnson. Until today, Gurode had barely played in the past two months. And he hasn't looked good when he's been in there. If Johnson hadn't just had knee surgery, I doubt Gurode would have played more than one or two series, as usual.

If what you're trying to see is the whole OL was bad - I agree.

If you're trying to say Gurode played poorly on the TD scored by the Giants D I'd say you're right.

If you're trying to Al J played better than Gurode - I'd disagree with you. I'd argue the opposite although neither was great.

In all fairness though, Al Johnson just had his knee scoped. He isn't usually that bad, or we wouldn't have had an offense all season. When is the last time Gurode sniffed the field before today?

That play definitely changed the momentum of the game. Actually, both Gurode and AJ are just average centers. I'd like to see us really upgrade this position as well as our tackles during the offseason.
