Should the Cowboys still try to play Romo if healthy? IMO this is a no brainer...let him sit it out. Kitna is doing a remarkable job and I don't want to see a rusty Romo take unecessary hits the rest of the year.

What does Dez have to do with Romo playing or not?

no...we need to lose to Philly twice to get as high a pick as possible.

If you're healthy you play. He's being paid to play when healthy. I don't sit out the rest of the fiscal year at work when I'm sick. If the organization had the mind set of saving him for next year they would have put him on IR by now. There is no devils advocate to play here...fans who don't want to see him play at any point the remaining of the year are just offering up their own "this is what I would do if I were GM" remark. You're not so save the post.

One of the reasons I've heard for bringing Romo back when he's healthy this season is so he can work on his chemistry with Dez.

I don't necessarily think that's the reason I don't play Romo though. This team seems to be snake bit with injuries this year. I wouldn't risk it for some "meaningless" games.

So if he comes back with two games left and there is nothing to win no matter what and then reinjures the shoulder, this would be good how?

You keep Kitna in. He has earned it. Let the man complete what he started.

I look at it as a 4 game tryout for Ogletree. He needs to first beat out Hurd as the 3rd WR and then work like hell to save his roster spot for next year.

With two upcoming games against the Eagles--the opponent that made Ogletree famous--the Cowboys can break out the flanker screens that made him famous, and earned him the moniker Oglescreens.

i dont see where this affects romo but it opens the door for another wr to play

i would love to see ogletree out there some more.

Kitna is playing well... I wouldn't rush Romo back, it's not like Dallas will make a push to the playoffs.
