The media wouldn't need to report it unless I had a history of being late, being disrespectful to my coaches, teammates, etc.

It's amazing how the APOLOGISTS are bringing up the sideline incident with Haley to justify TO's response and to make light of yet another tardiness on behalf of THE PLAYER and his inability to keep his temper/opinion in check when addressing a coach.

Haley and Keyshawn were made for each other. Todd could tell Key off and he'd get over it. Maybe even respect him more for it. The same kind of rapport Key has with Bill.

I'm not so sure that type of handling is wise for Owens, who has a notoriously fragile psyche. Bill hasn't been sarcastic or agressive with him, telling me he doesn't think Owens can flourish under that kind of treatment. From the reports, he doesn't bust his agates or ride him.

Owens said today after the blow up with Haley he apologized to Bill and Tuna pretty much said don't worry about it, go back to work.

Haley doesn't have Bill's high status so he can't afford to lose respect in his player's eyes - but he probably could have handled this one better, even before the 'leak'.
