So... uh... who exactly are the leaders now?

The Defensive leaders will be Bradie James and Roy Williams. Ellis will play a part, but he won't be on the field full-time like the other two.

On Offense it will be Drew Bledsoe, Jason Witten and Marco Rivera.

Should be fun.

BTW: Larry Allen was so unemotional and uninspiring that he was the antithesis of being a leader.

Drew Bledsoe, Flozell Adams, Marco Rivera, Roy Williams, Aaron Glenn, Jason Ferguson, Greg Ellis, Bradie James...

Dan Campbell.... former team captain, veteran, good media guy.... Gone!
Dat Nguyen.... former team captain, veteran, directed the defense..... Gone!
La'Roi Glover.... locker room influence, veteran, coach's son..... Gone!
Larry Allen.... 90's dynasty veteran, intimidation teacher.... Gone!
Keyshawn Johnson.... fiery competitive veteran.... Gone!

Who are the leaders of this team now?

Is Bill Parcells the dictator?

I remember reading an article a year ago that said Flozell had replaced Larry as the heart of the offensive line and a team leader. Is Drew Bledsoe a new leader? He always seemed more like Aikman, quiet stoic guy who led by example. Roy Williams, as awesome of an assassin as he is, he has never caught my eye as the leader that Woody was. Terence Newman seems too quiet to be a leader. I never hear much about Ferguson.

Are some of the young guys going to become leaders? Bradie James replacing Dat's place? Jason Witten did a lot of Keyshawn-esque chest pumping last year. Maybe Marco Rivera?

Seems to me you'd want some of these veterans around the locker room when a guy like Terrell Owens comes to town.
As of the first day of training camp TO will be the leader, just ask him, he'll tell you so.
Lord help us.

Don't be a leader= you get paid like a supporting cast member.

They are both among the best at their position. They're both getting PAID.

Offense: Flo, Rivera, Witten, Bledsoe and Glenn . . .
Defense: James, Ayodele will step up (saw him w/ the jags a bit), KEITH DAVIS, Roy Williams and Greg Ellis.

Keith Davis leads just like roy williams, the two of them in week 3 of the preseason last year if you dont remember tore it up and just by laying a few big hits it got everybody going. (big plays will cause Davis, Roy Williams to get everyone pumped up.) count on davis makin some big plays on ST. personally he is 1 of my favorite players on this cowboys team.

Bradie James... I know he's only had one good year, but I'm telling you now. Bradie James will be a leader on this defense.

The outspoken team leaders will be Drew Bledsoe and TO, whether you like it or not. Roy is a lead by example guy on defense, but he's not going to be getting in TOs face.

So it's basically all on Bledsoe to control TO. Parcells is gonna be hands off in that aspect, as usual.

Offensively, Bledsoe is going to step it up. abersonc is right about that Rams game.

Brady James stepped up last year and made it clear it was his defense when Dat went down. Id expect him to keep that up. Something about Spears strikes me as if he would step up vocally.

New leaders will step up.
Jason Ferguson
Drew Bledsoe

Those are your 2 leaders of the team. Ferguson didn't have a steller year, but he's a seasoned vet, and he has the vocal ability and the likability factor.

Bledsoe is in year 2 of the team, and has a Super Bowl appearance in his arsenol.

I dont see Roy Williams as a Leader. Maybe it's just me but he doesnt look like " THat guy".

Drew Bledsoe is the Leader of this Team, Enough said:starspin

Roy Williams is a leader.

Ware needs to start stepping up as a leader

We need an LB to step up as a leader. Maybe Singleton

Bledsoe and Owens are the offensive leaders

Flo needs to step up as a leader.

JJ needs to step up as a leader.

What did the "leadership" of these players ever get us?

And Larry Allen has NEVER been a leader. He's probably as far from a leader as one can possibly get.

THANK YOU. I can't believe it took someone 3 pages to say that. I'm sick of this same tired rhetoric by these old relics like "TruBluCowboy" who are soaking in their tears over the loss of our "leaders"

Sorry to burst your bubble, but those "leaders" never won a damn thing for this team. All they did was lead us to a bunch of mediocre, non-playoff seasons.
