I rarely make threads in fear of the dreaded "repost". But Jets committed no penalties? Really? Not using that as a excuse at all. More than likely wouldn't have had any factor in the outcome. But talk about home cooking. And "Revis Island" sure does get away with a lot of physical play.

Their corners were grabbing and shoving all night. The fact that only Witten was actually called for interference - offensive pass interference no less - was laughable.

and after the first play where Ware got the sack, they decided to just hold him the rest of the game and it worked because the officials decided not to call it.

ESPN ticker says first penalty free game by a team since Week 6 of 2007 lol.

Right, of course we don't have any of the homers noticing Barry Church grabbing, hanging, holding on for dear life to Keller on that crucial 3rd down stop late in the game.

Alan Ball was also holding on the play too.

I have to admit, there were moments where I couldn't believe how much Revis was getting away with. He definitely gets the "superstar" at times when it comes to holding the receiver he's guarding.

Yea they will get credit for "slowing down" Ware but he was being held on some possessions. And btw, the Cowboys got away with some holds as well. But its a disgrace to sit here and tell me the Jets didn't have ANY penalties. There's no such thing in sports.

That really is pathetic. I would think even Jets fans would say so. No off season, no OTAs, no mini-camps, and NO penalties in the very first game of the season????? Sorry, but I'm not buying it.

It does not excuse the ZERO calls Dallas got! Right before the Folk kick the LT false started right in front of the line judge with no call. Don't sit here with that crap that they were letting them play. There were plenty of calls the Refs did not call on the Jets.

I thought this was a pretty unbiased game but that is a pretty laughable statistic.

Oh I agree. I can't really say we got shafted by any calls. It was a decent officiated game. But its laughable that the only pass interference they saw was one in closing minutes on Jason Witten.

Well understand this. I acknowledge this. But this post wasn't really about officiating. It was officiated well IMO. But its laughable to say that they didn't have any penalties. There's no such thing in a NFL game. There's holding every play almost. I get you can't call them all. But you can't see one?

From what I witnessed (and rewatch the game again), every single one of the penalties called on Dallas was deserved. That pass interference on Witten is a legit call whether intentional or not, that was a "pick" play by Witten.

The Jets didn't have any blatant obvious penalties (12 men on the field, off-sides, delay of game, et cetera). If you acknowledge the fact Dallas did actually get away with a few (the Barry Chuch play w/Alan Ball that I mentioned...also in the 1st QTR, Choice got away with blocking down on a lineman that was engaged at the LOS), then you're aknowledging that the refs missed some judgement calls. And if they missed them on Dallas, then it's possible they missed him on the Jets.

How do you miss all of them on the JETS? Let me put this in big black letters ZERO. I just don't see how you can go 60 mins without a single penalty it's been 4 years since that happened doesn't that seem a little odd?

9/11

I don't know why anyone expected anything different. The refs were going to do their best to help the Jets, and we still should have won.

They got away with at least 3 false starts as well. I doubt it would of mattered the way this team fell apart but give me a break. I do think they let the secondaries on both teams get away with a little more contact then usual. At least they were consistent in that regard.

Like Cowboystar said, you missed a few on us. I get it. But you missed ALL OF THEM on the Jets? They didn't get ONE CALL. NOT ONE. I don't think you guys realize how incredible that is.

Really, who were the two teams involved in that game four years ago?

Also, could you please tell me what the agenda the league was pushing for that game's outcome?

There was one key one and it was right before the Folk FG that put them ahead.

I noticed a couple of penalties that Jets commited that were not called. Dez TD catch cb(i think Cromartie) has holding on Dez jersey, but he beasted right thru it and still caught it. the were CB's played very physical but got away with it. There was another call not made but cant remember at moment

Yeah I don't buy this load of bullhockey for a single minute. As much passion as you know that NY team had to please its fans and they didn't commit ANY penalties? Wow..
