Priority number one is to find a RB. Has to be. WR is priority 1 b

They can still get a good RB. Imho it would have been better to get a dominant guard in round 2 but whatever. Maybe the new plays/scheme will help.

Yeah, I'm kind of with with OP on this. We needed to grab a quality RB with a balanced skillset- a potential future starter. The "glass half empty" view of our current RB group- a cripple, a reject, and 2 JAGS. RB was a bigger need than a reach at TE in the second round. I'm not even sure he was the best TE on the board. I do think a TE needed to be added, but not that player in the second round.

WR depth is a concern too, but I'm more comfortable addressing that in the middle rounds. Sure, you can find RB's in the middle rounds, but not of the caliber needed.

We were told Gallup was good coming into last season, and he was terrible. He's always been a step slow, and its even more painful to watch now. It was a major mistake resigning him, and even Ced Wilson would be a better #3 over him any day of the week.
We were told he passed a physical but you could tell from how he was moving he was not fully recovered.

That worries me too. Because Pollard probably won't be on the team next year.

This team isn't doing anything without a good running game.

After they traded for Cooks, there won't be much opportunity for a rookie WR this year. It will be a bigger need in the 2024 Draft.

For RB, I'm ok with drafting anyone on Day 3 and giving Malik Davis a chance too. This is a RB-By-Committee League, the Cowboys need to finally adapt and get with the times

Gallup is toast? Based on what exactly? Because all the information coming out this off season is very positive about him and he will easily be 100% by training camp.

Don't forget they signed Jones at RB and they will get another one tomorrow. Easy to find them or another vet.
What happens if one of the top 3 WR’s go down? Who’s stepping in Fehoko / tolbert ? No thanks trade our 7th for Cedric Wilson…

Quick question, if they drafted, let’s say a WR in round 1 and an RB in round 2, would the title of this thread be, “So what about DT and a LB?”

You can’t fill 5 holes with 3 picks. Just relax for a minute and let the rest of the draft happen before we criticize/overreact.

That’s true but I think offense was the bigger need IMO. They get 11 million more in cap space after June 1st maybe they trade for a OG/ WR. I’d like to get Cedric Wilson back if the Dolphins eat some money.

I am still VERY worried about this. Pollard wasn't an every down back before his injury, and Gallup is toast.
RB is a spot I'd like. I think McBride would be a fantastic choice. As for Gallup, I think he will be better. He came off a difficult medical issue. I think he should be better this season. I do think WR will be further addressed. However, I would keep an eye out for the UDFA market. We're one of the best there, and the coaches probably have a list of WRs they'd love to get UDFA. I'd also like to see them have a go at a few players from the CFL, such as Jevon Cottoy (6'5" 245) from the BC Lions. During his time with the BC Lions, he's been a dangerous WR. His size and ball skills look quite impressive. He's never had a chance in the NFL, but I think he'd be worth a camp invite.

Ronald jones isn't any better than malik Davis minus draft position. They need chase brown/Sean tucker or abanikanda. Anybody else is a no.

I too think we need another RB and I’ll never say no to more receivers or cornerbacks.

LOL, obviously that's what would have happened. That cracked me up because it's true.

But sometimes the Cowboys draft puzzles me. First round was fine. But why a 3rd round grade TE in the 2nd, and a LB in the 3rd? Obviously they have a plan, or at least I hope they do.

The 2nd round pick seemed like a complete waste to me. The LB was a good pick, but why? I'm thinking if the Eagles picked for us in the 2nd round, they'd pick that TE.

I'm not going to pretend my ignorant *** knows more than they do. So I'll take your advise and wait. Those are just my first impressions.

broadus mention grey the rb last night on the draft show so i started watching tape of him and, man he reminds me of clinton portis with the 1 cut and up field. his field vision is amazing and he also makes people loose there socks with jukes. id be ok with him and pollard next year. and i don’t think he replaces him cause jerry needs to sell jerseys so he’s going to sing pollard for about 8-9mill a season.
